no joke. If you ever are near a brand new Lowe's Food's, and if they have one there...they have an awesome coffee bar in the store. They make hot/cold/blended drinks and will roast beans right on the spot for you. They have a great iced coffee, and it's not just plain cold coffee that's been in a fridge. They do delicious, wonderful things to it that I do not know...lol.

Also, I am a fan of these, and they are not quite as 'bad for you' as some coffee drinks. GREAT over ice. 180 cal, 8 g protein, half the caffeine of a cup of coffee

Katherine, I made mini pizzas with English muffins.

Open English muffins and brush olive oil over the open part. Place on a cookie sheet and set broiler on oven. Place English muffins in oven for about 5 minutes.

In a pan, add one tablespoon of olive oil to pan and heat on medium heat. Add chopped onion until it starts to turn brown. Add chopped tomatoes, garlic, and leek (or any other veggie) in the pan. Squeeze some fresh lemon over pan and let veggies sautee some until soft. Take off heat and scoop veggies onto toasted english muffins. Add some cheese (I use goat cheese because you only need a tiny bit to get a lot of flavor/taste) and some fresh basil.

Place in oven set at 350 for 5 minutes.

Enjoy!!!

I am so pissed beyond pissed right now...

second...just found out that I don't have insurance on my car...I filled out all the paper work...wrote the check...mailed the check...have the money in the bank...but nooo because last week was a "vacation" week it was going to take a little while longer to get the policy made up and therefore I don't have insurance on my car...they also have not deposited my check yet...I mailed the check on the 1st...that check should have cleared by now

Okay so in my parents neighborhood apparently an incident went down where two guys jumped their neighbor (who happens to be in the coast guard) and put him in the hospital for a week...

My dad was no where near the incident...he didn't know the guy that got jumped or the guys that did the beating up...all he knows is hearsay.

Well tonight I go over to my parents to eat dinner and my dad comes drunkly walking back into the house with a high powered flashlight in his hand.

He informed my mom and myself that he stood in the street (alone) shining the light in the guys windows and yelling "you niggers need to get out of this neighborhood, no one wants niggers like you here"
Then told us that they weren't home so he walked back home...

Well I (just like any other normal human being would) let him know that he was very dumb for doing that and should be very happy that they weren't home. Because if they obviously don't have a problem puting someone who is in the service in the hospital they would have no problem putting a drunk overweight middle age man in the hospital.

Well he started to yell at me and called me a "nigger lover" because I was defending them.

I let him know, that no I wasn't defending them I was just showing concern for my dad, but heaven forbid I do that

Well then he let me know that this weekend he is going to get a bunch of people to stand in front of their house and harass them...and if they do anything there will be plenty of witnesses to back up the story so they would get arrested...

I of course let him know that witnesses don't bring someone back to life...especially if a bullet decides to fly...

Well then he said that he was going to start harassing their elementary school kids, like throwing stuff at them and calling them "nigglets"

This set me off...I in no way saw anything right about harassing innocent kids in this situation...those kids did not pick their parents...shit like that can fuck a kid up...

This turned into a horrible heated fight that lead to me throwing a plate and storming out the front door calling my dad a fucking asshole.

So basically I have lost a lot of respect for my dad and I probably won't be talking to him for a while...because he is dumb for thinking he is invincible and for butting into people's business that he has no business getting into...for being so fucking racist that I am embarassed that I am related to him...and for thinking that a valid reaction and response to this situation is to harass 8 year old kids

When I stormed out of the house he told me to never come back...I don't think he has to worry about that.

And that's what I got to grow up with....thank God I didn't come out of it any more fucked up than I am now.

I'm also happy that my dad got at his worse after I moved out...I am for real worried for my mom though...My dad is like a wound up rubber band and he is going to snap one day and I can only hope my mom can get out of there in time. I am happy that my brother still lives at home and I know he would step him and save my mom.
