I said it before the season started, and I still believe it: give us two years. At that point, we'll be stacked. Assuming that no one leaves early (which admittedly is a pretty big assumption, with Brack's baseball career and Ced's incredible development), we'll have:
Sr: Ced, B-Rack, Grant Jr: Fells, McCauley So: Costner, Horner, Werner, Fells, Ferguson Fr: Wright, etc.
That's 11-deep with experience and huge talent at every single position on the floor. You can see a huge difference in talent level right now between the older guys (Cam excepted) and the newer recruits--IE and EA have played hard for several years, but basically hit a wall.1/19/2006 9:36:55 AM |

^^ you should have known about the blocks. I said earlier that williams was not going to get more blocks because we don't dribble penetrate as much as they do. That's exactly what happened. 1/19/2006 6:03:57 PM |

i'm surprised more people haven't commented on this...
Quote : | "This might be old but this was a quote from Coach K after the game at the press conference:
"You can write what you want to write. These kids have the pressure of going undefeated on them, thats on them all the time. I don't understand it I mean we are starting Lee Melchionni you know?"
Seems like Coach K is cracking on his own players hahah" |
Quote : | "Twenty-two games to go and Coach K is already having to deflect the "undefeated" questions. His latest reply (from the Raleigh News & Observer), following Wednesday's 81-68 win over N.C. State: "Are they going to go undefeated? ... We're starting Lee Melchionni (right) and Sean Dockery. You didn't even say that when we had Bobby Hurley, Christian Laettner and Grant Hill. So, it's just extreme." " |

a classic pic could be made from 14:00 left in the first half of this game. i forget which players, but one of the d00kies fell out of bounds and another d00kie helped him up from behind. it looked like he was giving him the old in-and-out. 1/21/2006 10:02:46 AM |
