^Johnson vs. Buffalo
I like Rivers, but I don't like many QB's against Baltimore. 9/29/2006 12:45:16 PM |

I'm being offered Grossman and McCardell for Carr.
Accept it, right? My other QB is Palmer. The guy wants Carr because his #1 is on a bye week and is using McCardell to "sweeten the pot". 9/29/2006 1:19:25 PM |

D. Jackson (Sea vs. Chi.) W. Welker (Mia vs. Hou) T.O. (Dal vs. Ten) C. Johnson (Cin vs. NE) JCo (NYJ vs. Ind)
TD: 6 1 pt/10 yds etc.
Need to start two.
I like Welker b/c of receiving and return yardage, but Mia sucks. T.O.- Will he breakout this week b/c of all the shenanigans? Chad hasn't done much and with Housh back he might not. Jackson- great stats but plays Chi
Ideas? 9/29/2006 1:40:53 PM |

^ you cannot ever sit C.Johnson over any of the other guys unless Chad is hurt.

Will you actually use McCardell? If not, then I'm not sure I'd take Grossman over Carr. Houston will probably be behind in every game this year so Carr will constantly be throwing. Grossman might have some big games, but he might have games where he throws for 100 yds because in that game the Bears D is kicking ass and they are controlling the clock with the ground game.

I could use McCardell. Definitely wouldn't hurt.
BTW - I'm trying to get rid of Willie Parker but not sure who I would take for him. I need help bigtime at RB (Parker, T. Jones, M. Morris, De. Williams) and I just don't see Parker finding the end zone much with the schedule Pitt has. Would ya'll trade Parker for McGahee? McGahee has just as much trouble as Parker with finding the end zone, but McGahee should atleast put up more yards all season?
^^^I'd definitely start Jackson if you can. Hasselbeck will have 4 wide often Sunday and Jackson is probably his primary target.

bah warner. I let him go, but arizona's line still sucks. Leinhart will probably make the start at some point, anyway. There was speculation that they didn't want to throw Leinhart into an away game.
Anyway, sit start 4 receivers:
D. Gabriel v cincy Colston v carolina Welker v houston Cotchery v Indy C Henry v Jets TO v Tenn

start 2: thomas jones mo morris deangelo williams buckhalter
I've had Jones and Morris starting all week but the closer Sunday gets, I seem to think I may need to sit atleast one of them. Only thing that blows is that the other two are backups who could put up numbers IF the got the carries.
(yes, my RB's are terrible. i have willie too but he's on a bye.) 9/29/2006 7:46:36 PM |
skokiaan All American 26447 Posts user info edit post |
^I think the rules of fantasy say start #1 RBs over backups. Backups are a big gamble because they won't even get the touches. I don't think either Philadelphia's game or Carolina's game will be a blowout, so chances of backups getting touches is low.
I think Deangelo has the edge over buckhalter because of return yards.

Starters are a lot more reliable. I just don't like the CHI-SEA match up at all for the RB's. But then again, I don't think I want to make the gamble with starting a backup. As big of a Panthers fan I am, I wouldn't mind seeing Deshaun get injured. I think DeAngelo has just as much more upside as Deshaun to start with, better for the Panthers and better for my fantasy squad. 9/29/2006 7:53:39 PM |

OK, I have convinced myself that the jets are going to have a good fantasy game against the colts.
- Colts haven't really stopped points from being scored this year - Pennington has put up ridiculous numbers against them. - Colts are missing their starting DT, S, and a CB

Oh I think Pennington will have a decent week, but I don't think I'd start all 3 of those. I'd either start Pennington OR Cotchery. You never want to double or even triple-down on offensive players unless you are positive the team is going to go off(see Indy or Cincy most weeks).
I'd actually expect the Jets running game to get plenty of yards if they don't get way down and have to play catch-up(which more than likely they will).
My QB quandry is back...
Leaning towards Vick vs. Arizona but Leftwich vs. Washington has me interested (not even considering McNair and McNabb is a permanent starter) 9/30/2006 11:36:31 AM |

Also, in another league, I have Steve McNair and Trent Green (who Im hoping will make a comeback eventually, who knows). Is Alex Smith worth a pickup? 9/30/2006 7:36:36 PM |
