he hasnt come out yet and said what he would do...but apparently there are now 7 key witnesses who will testify against him...latest rumor per all of espn's legal experts is that IF HE TAKES THE PLEA, he'll do maybe 18-24 months...if he fights the case, it could be a whole lot worse for him based on some of the testimony that will come out of the trial

this is so silly and terrible for the nfl. I mean he killed frigging DOGS. Animals. They are not endangered and they are not people and they aren't even anyone elses pets. Its not that serious. Just let him a huge fine and society on a whole wins.

-less for animal control to worry about
-more money to do good things with like schools, habitat
-more revenue generated from the falcons

but instead they are willing to waste thousands of court dollars to put this guy away (an important guy to atlanta at that not that if he wasn't important i would agree with putting him away for killing a damn dog)

What he did was wrong but theres no way somebody should go to jail for killing their own dogs. It should definately just be a fine.

I'm not trolling it just pisses me off that people in the system are just so hungry to bring people down and destroy people. You see it almost everyday for the most petty of things. 12/yo geeks getting 10 years for touching a girls but, 18 year old getting 10 years for getting head from a 15 yo. Now mike vick getting time for killing dogs that he owned. Its not even that kind of issue. I'm sure with the breeding he netted a + change in dogs anyway.

Why should I burn in hell for wishing something positive could be made out of this?
-fine him 10 million
-never allow him to own animals again
-make him do community service
-focus on real dangers and real criminals. gangs, mobs, drugs, ya know, serious dangers

Instead its more like
-spend 1 million dollars making sure he gets time
-cripple a huge source of atlanta revenue
-criminalize killing an animal that this man owned

Theres no witness or evidence to the dogs being tortured anyway. They fought, if they were injured or weak then they were put to sleep. Only under three conditions could I understand jail time
-killing threatened or protected species
-not owned by the killer
-killing a person

Stop and think how much positive things could come out of just a fine. How far could lets say 10million dollars go in a community?
-build a new school
-house over 100 needy families
-mike vick leading community service? imagine how many would follow.

Instead americas goals remain set on negativity and putting people away for doing non-criminal acts that in some cases may not even be wrong while horrid criems go unsolved every day
-immigrating
-statutory
-fighting dogs

Vick's QB career is over.

If he can make it back to the NFL by 2009 or so (and thats a big IF), he might be able to return as a reciever or situational player. But no team is gonna give him another shot at QB.

The only clubs where Vick could possibly be accepted would be in Oakland and Dallas. And those 2 teams look like they're set at QB for a while.
