I looked into public parking and stuff but i'm still waiting to hear back from my uncle who's a USC alum to try and figure out what the best parking situation will be. I'll add what he tells me in this thread.

parking is not hard to find at williams-brice if you show up early enough. Whenever my dad and I go to the USC-Clemson game in Columbia we just find a bunch of orange and pay the $10. The area around the stadium is not pretty but it's meant solely for football on Saturdays so there are a lot of businesses that use their lots as gameday parking. An easy 5-10 minute walk to the stadium.

one thing I'm always shocked about when I visit williams-brice is how dated the stadium actually is. I've been there every other year for the past 16 years and the stadium feels like it hasn't changed much (the field and video monitor are nice but everything is pretty shitty). It'll make you appreciate NCSU and Clemson's stadium so much more.

And if you thought the Wake Forest over-amplified bells were annoying (which I'm dreading this year for Clemson's Thursday night game in Winston), wait until you hear the rooster crow.

My uncle, a South Carolina grad and cock club premiere member or whatever they call it, has promised me tickets to this game since Easter. I reminded him in July at a family thing and haven't heard from him since. I hope he comes through, I really want to go.

you can park right next to the stadium in the fairgrounds for $20.

either the WPC or alumni association was doing a tailgate event for $30/person includes parking and a shit ton of food. cash bar. not a good deal if you're with a few people, but if you're by yourself or just you and a buddy and you want to be near state fans, it's not that bad i guess. saves the hassle of taking a grill down there, finding parking, etc.

OH by the way, you CAN have liquor in their fairgrounds (unlike us). so for those of you who really want to tie one on, go for it.

off topic - got my season tickets in the mail today woooo
can't wait for tailgating

Now if we can just get live wolves to flank the visitor's entrance we'd be in business. That'd be pretty badass and intimidating to have wolves snarling at the opponents as they come out.

According to some guy on PP we got three quality freshmen walk-ons.

- DB 12 Jordan Monk (6-0 180 Fr.)
- OT 69 Cameron Hardesty (6-6 290 Fr.)
- DL 78 Andrew Cobb (6-3 270 Fr.)

- Monk was an standout athlete at St. Raphael Acad. in Mass....helped lead his team to a state championship. Returned a kick 73yds with five minutes to go in the state championship game to set up the game winning touchdown. One article said he plans on earning a scholarship down the road (ala K.George)

- Hardesty was the anchor of the O-line at Calvert Hall in Baltimore MD. Had several D-1 teams that had interest in him. His only D-1 offers were Buffalo & Kent State.

- Cobb was a two-way football player at North Barrington HS in Barrington IL. Cobb played TE on offense and DL on defense, rotating at DE and DT. Cobb's only known offer was Air Force.

Jordan Monk senior highlight film.

Here's also a profile on Monk. It includes a sound clip of him talking about his most memorable moment from his senior season.
http://tinyurl.com/6a94ys

Quote :
"The 6-1, 188-pound speedster played a major role in St. Raphael's drive to the Division I state title. A pass receiver, defensive back, kick returner and even an occasional passer, he made 60 tackles and had six interceptions. He also returned a fumble for a touchdown. Offensively he had 24 pass receptions for 377 yards and returned a kickoff for a touchdown. His 68-yard punt return late in the fourth quarter set up St. Raphael's game-winning touchdown in the Division I Super Bowl."

Reading these profiles (thanks Brass) this stat jumps out to me on Eugene's profile:

Quote :
"Prep: Rushed for 1,213 yards and 16 touchdowns his senior season at Naples High School for coach Bill Kramer ... Averaged over 11 yards a carry ... Finished with 1,932 yards and 17 touchdowns in 15 games as a junior"

I can't claim to know much about High School stats, but that seems pretty impressive no matter how you look at it. How was this guy only a two star recruit?

Don't thank me, zebranky is the one doing the player profiles. He's got a nice database/program set up. I mean I actually started the whole post a player's profile based on his number matching the day till kickoff. I'm pretty sure I started that back during the "Days till Virginia Tech game" thread from a couple of years ago, but zebranky either took over last year for the UCF thread or for the App State thread two years ago.

A big thank you goes out to Ball State who has their dance girls wear tight football jerseys and shorts like those that volleyball players wear. We need our dance girls to do the same. At least for like the first game when it's scorching outside. I'm sure they'd love the cooler.

Is this the play where we didn't score, and ended up losing by 4? I think that's what I remember, I was sitting on the other end but I was like "damnit, if you dove or anything you probably would have won that game"

that was not a touchdown.

clemson stopped us 5 times in a row from the 1 yard line and this was 4th and goal after an offsides and 4 previous attempts.

if he had even reached out or TRIED, it wouldve been a td

state lost by 4
