I don't know about that -- I remember White's Heisman being more a case of "well, who else would we give it to?" with everyone knowing that the kid was pretty much done after college and had no future as a pro.

White was alright. He just put up sick numbers. Simms was probably a better QB than White...he just choked in the big games.

And Ole Miss is crazy overrated. Coming in I thought they were a borderline top-15 team. I've got a good friend who is an Ole Miss alum and have watched every game so far...unimpressed except for running back.

Although it makes our loss look worse...so I'll take it.

White had great stats, he was surrounded by incredible talent and went up against some bad pass defenses. He was absolutely exposed against K State and USC though. Still not sold that he was a great QB, even college QB.

He won the 2003 Heisman over Larry Fitzgerald. Eli was 3rd, Philip Rivers was 7th.

^ heard an interview with Bowden yesterday and he was REALLY worried about USF new QB. He went to HS in Tallahassee, led them to a State championship, crazy stats etc. Not sure why he wasnt more highly recruited, unless he just really really wanted to go to USF
