Theres other options I think, but this is the most affordable way to capture via component (also takes optical in). Its a pain in the ass though because after about 30 minutes the captures start to get out of sync, so you have to cap in chunks, and the best program to use with it is a command line program...plus it caps in h264 which is a pain to edit. But I got tired of recording games on HD channels in SD, so it was worth it.

This is one of those signature wins that gets your program on track. The last 2 years it was East Carolina, this year I think it will be this game as the one where everything came together.

^^ We were actually favored by 1. The perception of us being an underdog was mostly a result of all the media hype around Pittsburgh.

^ I wouldn't say everything came together exactly. The penalties were way over the top and our special teams looked kinda shitty. I understand the reasoning for the shitty kickoffs, but letting them start at the 35-40 yard line every time isn't something I would call good.

^^yeah, we definitely got a long ways to go before we can say "everything came together". the best thing we can take from this game is our resilience. coming back from 31-17 to win it is something to be happy about, but we shouldn't have gotten ourselves in that hole in the first place. we gave them way too much, especially in the kicking game. i'd say our special teams is our biggest weakness right now with the exception of maybe josh czajkowski. he's been pretty consistent for us other than that miss yesterday.

the oline did a great job with protection, but that high snap was ridiculously bad and hopefully julian williams can get back in sync after coming off that flu.

TOB was correct in his analysis. Coaching needs some fixes, penalties and special teams sucked etc...

If there's one person that can take this 'momentum' and turn it into some actual ACC wins this year it's TOB. glad he's our coach and not some clown.

I really that the NC State D stepped up in the 2nd half. Just found a stat that illustrates just how good they were.

Starting at the 7:30 mark in the 3rd quarter, Pittsburgh was ahead 24-17. After that, Pitt had one play go for 79 yards, which was a pass play that scored a TD. Suck. Aside from that play, which made it 31-17, Pitt ran 17 plays for... zero net yards. ZERO.

^that was incredible. at first it looked like pitt went into conservative mode b/c they had a 2TD lead so that might have helped. either way. shutting them down like that on the run is huge


last year i think it was vs fsu, i remember saying "we have a dang good run defense, if only the pass D could catch up"

we might be 10% as good as UNC's defense maybe by the end of the year??? who knows. ha
