^^You speak for you, Kobe, and mambagrl... I'm not sure that's what you can really call "the people." I'm pulling for the Celtics in this one, a.) because they're the home team (although not my team) and b.) I want to see you still attempt to troll when a solid team, the Celtics, outscore your beloved Kobe.

I am just being honest here. Here is how I grade out the following ballers;

Kobe Bryant - 99

Rajon Rondo - 92

Brian Scalabrini - 85

LeFail James - 78

Steve Nash - 66

Absolutely not ELI. Chill the fuck out buddy. Its just my personal rankings. Notice that I grade Scalabrini higher than LeFail because, if you remember, back when the Nets were in the Eastern Conference Finals every damn year, there was this triple overtime game and all the players for the Nets fouled out and they had no choice but to play Scalabrini and homeboy had like 29 points in two overtime periods. For that reason alone he towers above LeFail. In addition, Nash loses points just on his ugliness factor. I understand some people just have the dumb look to them but why make it worse with a buttcutt?

Not happy about the Finals...but maybe it will be interesting. Heres to a Kobe v. Garnett fight ;-) probably end up being a Kobe v. Big Baby fight.

Those talking about the regular season games - Kobe didnt even play in the one they lost. I think the big difference this time around is that the Lakers have Ron Artest to guard Paul Pierce instead of Kobe having to do it. He'll be either to save some energy on D guarding Allen or guard Rondo. People saying Fisher won't be able to guard Rondo...come on, the guy has guarded some damn good PGs during the playoffs.

^Rondo is a lot quicker than Nash (who still had a great series against the Lakers). Russel Westbrook and Deron Williams absolutely torched Fisher.

What Fisher did do, after the first series abomination against the Thunder, was perform extremely well on the offensive end...which made the opposing team's PG actually put in work on the defensive end and gave his team a little offensive boost that they rarely got out of him in the regular season.

And if Kobe isn't guarding Pierce, he'll still be chasing Ray Allen all around the floor and through multiple screens.

I hope it's a good series.

The Celtics have enough big men to counteract the Lakers' big men (Perkins, Big Baby, Garnett, Wallace, etc.), so the dominance that the Lakers exemplified down low against the Suns (in their victories) will not be present against the Celtics. The Celtics simply have an all around better team, and as you may have noticed by "LeFail," one man cannot bring a team a title. Kobe needs Odom & Gasol (possibly Fisher) to have big games, which I doubt neither of them will have... if anything, Odom will perform well, simply because he can hit the mid-range jumper). Kobe needs his bench (absent), his big men (Lakers' big men outperforming Celtics' big men = doubtful), and a consistent stellar offensive & defensive performance from Fisher. Rondo was third in assists and steals in the regular season for a reason... the guy's quick, smart, and young; Fisher won't be able to guard him or his passing.

Rondo is saavy for a young player. Fisher's teeth look fake. Everytime Fisher fouls he looks at the ref and gives that huge smile (forced smile) with his hollywood teeth.

okay, i was kidding about celtics in 4 being my 4th likeliest prediction.

If Boston doesn't win in 5,6, or 7 then I think the Lakers COULD win in 7.

And while you're discrediting my predictions tree perhaps you should look at the body of work rather than 1 or 2.

Quote :
"I could see boston in 6 or 7 or magic in 7. Any other outcome seems unlikely.

I like the magic today with their rest against bostons older legs but after that may hedge with boston to win the series. Orlando started off a ridiculously overpriced -280 to win the series."

Quote :
"All that being said, I think Lakers in 7 with a possibility of as few as 5. LA has been really tough at home so far and it's just hard to doubt them against a team with absolutely no size to match up with their biggest strength."

I liked Dallas against LA, but said they'd struggle against SAS and might not get a chance to take them out. You were the one who said SA had no chance against Dallas.

I didn't see Boston revitalizing their season because I didn't know KG had been sandbagging all year. Now that he's playing well the Celtics are just rolling. My Orlando pick was b/c Cleveland had no chance against them, obviously I retreated when Boston destroyed the Cavs.

And this Lefail thing? You have got to be kidding me. You guys probably thought Jordan sucked too, right?

Kobe was missing the playoffs in his prime. There isn't a sane person out there who could honestly believe Kobe is better, has ever been better, or will ever be better than Lebron is right now. It's not even debateable.

yeah you're right...when Kobe put up 81 points in a game, he wasn't as good as Lebron was when he couldn't lead his team past Boston this year

The only thing thats not debatable is how your personal hatred of Kobe clouds any rational judgment you might have once had about basketball

Lets see. Well for one the coaching staff of Team USA Basketball. If you notice, LeFail wasnt even the 4th option on offense. Our options were: 1 - Kobe, 2 - Wade, 3 - Melo. Our offense Never ran through LeFail. And honestly man - you know Kobe is wayyy more polished of an offensive player. Thats not even close. (Three Point Shooting, Free Throw Shooting, Shooting in General, Clutch Situations, Killer Instinct). LeFail isnt even in the best offensive player in his draft class. Please people.

Defensively. Once again, I point out how the coaching staff of Team USA Basketball put the Black Mamba on the others teams best player Every Game. In addition, Kobe requested the role of defensive stopper because he actually has killer instinct and defense is all about desire. Don't be confused into thinking his offensive role changed because he still ran the show. Everything goes through Kobe. Dont kid yourself. LeFail is a great weak side defender, and I am glad he is Finally making all-nba defense squads seeing as he is 6'9 and 260 lbs of pure underachiever. Anyways Kobe was all first team defense since he joined the league and he suffocates mother fuckers. So again, defensively, Kobe is better than LeFail.

There is no need to get into hypothetical situations. Oh what if Kobe and LeFail were on the same team...who would get the last shot? who would the offense go through? blah blah. The answer to every one of those questions is KOBE. Fucking just accept it people.

Bottom line - Kobe is an unstoppable force. Football players dont go both ways so dont give me any shit about ohhh Peyton Manning influences a game more or whatever. Steve Nash fucking is GARBAGE. LeFail is okay but not great. KOBE FOR LIFE SAHNS!!

Some people probably think he's a rapist, or dislike him for being an adulterer

Some people probably side with Shaq in the Shaq/Kobe "feud," which I can understand, although from what I've heard, both of them are very egotistical but thats also part of what made Shaq great and continues to make Kobe great

Some people probably have a man crush on Jordan and hate the comparisons, as if Jordan is super human and god-like or something

Some people probably still hate him for not only refusing to play for the Hornets, but for then becoming a superstar, for a team other than the Hornets (obviously a more localized opinion than the others, but relevant on TWW)

But by and large they're probably just tired of him winning all the time and want some new blood like LBJ or Durant to dominate the NBA

The hate I can understand...he's the best player in the NBA...people always hate whoever is the best...in any sport, in any aspect of life...jealousy, envy, all of that

What I don't understand though, is people acting like he's not a great player...it kind of blows all their credibility when it comes to basketball

^exactly. kobe is like is like the yankees or duke basketball. make no mistake kobe is an absolute jerk and arrogant prick personally. That should not, however, overshadow the fact that he's arguably the greatest to ever play the game
Quote :

he gains most of those points back for having the cutest little girl in the nba. He beats the shit out of kobe in producing beautiful little girls.

O and lebron wasn't by himself. With a top 10 center pf and pg, lebron barely got past an awful bulls team then got steamrolled by the celtics. Sooooo great.

[Edited on June 1, 2010 at 10:59 PM. Reason : in the east kobe wouldve been going far all those years with smush parker and kwame brown]

^^^Lebronze was better (when Team USA won bronze...before the Olympics in China when we got the gold)

I'm not gonna call Lebron Lefail, he's a great player, but the fact is he is 7 years into the league and has ZERO rings...I have no problem with the nickname until he wins a title...even though I think its corny as shit

I was addressing the outcomes in order of likelihood. If you want my prediction ill take celtics in 6 thanks.

The point of it is, celtics are more likely than the lakers to win this series because they are better than the lakers.

If it wasn't for homecourt advantage no one would be giving the lakers a shot.

Arguing that kobe is better than lebron is so ridiculous that no one can take you seriously.

Stop it. Just stop it rallydurham. I will give you that Lefail is Nicer and people generally like him better. However, I think we have all mutually concluded that Kobe is a better player. You cannot name One area of Lefails game that is better than Kobes.

In fact - all the haters on TWW say the same shit over and over. Oh lefail is soo much better than Kobe but I have YET to hear one sound argument. Just honestly, name One area that Lefail reigns supreme. Show me that you know mother fucking SOMETHING about basketball rallydurham. Gah.

since you are so secure in Kobe, if the Celtics win the series...you get suspended for at LEAST 3 months. If the Lakers win, you get to post as much as you want about whatever and I wont try and get you suspended anymore.

deal?

Perkins is a much better big man than Gasol, the efficiency stats back me up, if you disagree you are a retard

Also Lebron is 10x better than Kobe. Anybody else who looks at their regular season efficiency stats and thinks otherwise is plain stupid. What has happened in the playoffs thus far is completely irrelevant. Its all about the regular season efficiency ratings.

I would love to see the Celtics get destroyed. Everybody wants to act like Kobe is a huge prick, but damn every clip ive seen this week is a Celtics player cheap shotting somebody or that pitiful clip of Paul Pierce being wheeled into the locker room like hes some 90 year old bitch that just got hit by a bus then coming out 2 minutes later like Superman out of a telephone booth.

Lakers in 6 (games 1, 2, 4, and 6.)

LOL. homecourt advantage is almost a huge disadvantage in the finals.

2-3-2 is adv. boston early on. boston steals a game, they can close it out at home. home team wins the first 5, LA has to face 2 elimination games. The pressure is hugely on LA in the earl going and boston has nothing to lose the first two games.

2-2-1-1-1 should be consistent throughout. (my2cents)

First off, I want to make in clear that I am in no way supporting Namwob

If you think Kobe gives a damn about his performance in the regular season your just as much of an idiot as Namwob. Kobe, like the rest of us, knows that the Lakers being the 1 seed is a forgone conclusion. He has already proven he can be the MVP of the league. The point of the regular season is to get his teammates confident and ready for the playoffs so IF he having an off night or getting double/triple teamed he can rely on them to make shots. Get real with this "regular season efficiency ratings" crap, the association is about winning rings.
