Downturn is horrible. The maps seem to flow much more than MW or MW2, meaning there always seems to be someone around every corner coming at you from the front of behind. This does seem to help limit camping and sniping, but it always limits tactical teamwork a lot of times too.

that being said, i went from hating Hardhat to loving it.

Tips I have seen/heard/read:

Switch to your secondary immediately after spawning, some have animations that only happen during the first time you pull them out. Next time you pull them during that life, they will be as fast as a pistol. (ie. Dual FM9s - this helps out a lot!)

Apparently, shotguns shoot extra pellets per shot with the extended mag attachment. Combine this with Range and you are golden (back to the good ol' Spaz days)

Shoot out the middle heli in a Pave Low sweep and you will take out 3 of them. This will count as 3 kills towards your killstreak (attack or support). Same with other flying things (UAV), shoot them down and it counts towards killstreaks

yeah shooting down the fly-by is a great way to get points. I love it when some idiot calls that thing in. I'll take a death to change to my stinger class and get the points for blowing them up.

Generally, you are the first one to appear in the game and if you have the score screen up (with the 1-4 bar indicator), you will have all 4 bars while everyone else has 1 bar for a split second at the start of the match.

yeah i started doing this and its been great for both avoiding bombing and getting the points for a streak

was fun to get to play with some new people last night and try the different game types.

I think the only way to get clan XP is completing clan operations, however these aren't even up yet.

I have a clan and got elite through the hardened mode and the only clan XP I have is a startup bonus XP from being elite. After that no winning or other items has given us any more XP.
