We played poorly. They have talent. I'm disappointed that we didn't look ready to play at their tempo on defense and on offense we didn't do anything to control the game.

we couldve opened the season with a 35-13 win over a scrub team and lost to wake forest in our first "real" game...hopefully this will prepare us against our weak ass schedule

not saying we go 11-1 but i dont think this is bad for the season

Our LBs are as bad as I've ever seen. Our OL was pathetic. I dont think theres any way we finish ahead of Clemson or FSU. 7-5 with another W against the holes in what amounts to both of our super bowls.

I think we beat one of the two definitely and both of those teams will have their usual WTF lol loss. This offense is decades better than last year at the start and the defense is about the same.
407 yards vs UT >> 424 against WF or 322 against Cincy

I don't predict 4 INTs a game but that might be your expectations. Not knocking. That's your opinion.

Perhaps the offense is a bit better than last year's, but based on what I saw today, the defense is decidedly worse. Amerson got exposed really badly today, and he wasn't the only one.

It's cool to wish for the best and think things will improve, but it's not like we just got done playing Alabama and can hang our hat on keeping up with the big dawgs of the SEC. Tennessee was abysmal last year. Just awful. In fact, I think that's the only reason people thought we might actually win tonight.

Hey, I never said the season was over. All I said is that we didn't play that well and it showed.

State teams have had notoriously slow starts under TOB, and I don't really have any reason to think it'll be all that different.

People really have forgotten how bad our defense was to start the season last year. Defense isn't good right now but you are hardly helped out by safties/INTs.

On another note there were a few plays (mostly down and short) where the LBs really penetrated and got to the ball. Mostly Sterling Lucas who was underwhelming for most of the game unfortunately. Hope we can break a few UCONN players and get the confidence up before ACC play.

I looked back at years and saw that NC State has rarely come out and dominated from day one and (except in 2002).
I was just alluding that this team (while a losing team so far) has the potential to when the early games (UCONN, Miami, etc) and finish strong without the usual "playing behind" mentality. TOB teams have historically done better in the second half of the season.
Nothing too outlandish to keep hopes up for the season. But I understand your feelings. I used to be very similar. Negative personalities. Not a big deal. I'm sure you still are fun to be around sometimes and you are good and your job. Just hope you don't spend a lot of time around children or the elderly. I'd hate for you to project on them.
