I will say one thing. I now agree 1000000000% Harrow needs to start from now on in. He has made a few mistakes on both ends but he has really stepped up his defense and he is showing some damn good play against good guards.

I'm pleased with the effort tonight from Sid and the boys, except we still give up WAY too many open looks. My problem is that I foresee us not playing the same way for a majority of our remaining games....based on the past.

duke played well tonight, they really did... and when duke plays this well, we are not supposed to beat them... sidney gets a pass on this ONE game,,, but still has no credibility anymore

Not trolling like last time, but our defense was mediocre at best. Look, there were positives tonight, but we have never put games like these together consistently in Lowe's tenure. Defensive rebounding is part of your defense, so no, the defense wasn't good. Shit, we gave up over 90 points. We lost this game in the 1st half.

Well, leaving past results in the past, Lowe's going to need to go at the very least 8-4 and more likely 9-3 the rest of the way on out, if he wants to return as ring master in the Rowdy RBC center.

It's a tough tough real motherfucking tough task but he put himself in this hole, so maybe he knows what he's doing. I don't even know anymore.

My thoughts on tonight:

1. No offense in the first half, no defense in the first 10 minutes, no rebounding in the second half. For spurts, though, we looked like a really, really good team.

2. wtf was Vandenberg doing on the court

3. Javi Gonzalez... goodnight sweet prince

4. Starting Howell in the second half was a great move. Brown adds absolutely nothing to either end of the court. Has he made a significant contribution to any game in the past month? Howell is turning into a beast and playing him with Tracy makes us so much better.

Just looked at the box score. Pretty impressive only 9 turnovers against Duke. We actually had more offensive rebounds than duke (I have a hard time believing that but...) Defensive rebounds killed us which I didn't expect. Javi played 6 mins. I am ok with him starting if that is how the PT is going to be handled. Duke made some tough shots early in the game and we missed them. Duke was also making their 3pt shots which makes them very hard to defeat.

I asked that question myself. Maybe to try and negate how the Plumlee's kept playing over our bigs and just being more physical? They would have to call an over the back foul if they were pushing and shoving him.
