either way I'd take a little time off tomorrow. Driving is exhausting. Maybe drive this evening and go in at lunch tomorrow.

Watching Lord of the Rings while studying, and I had completely forgotten how completely fucking irritating Frodo is in this movie. I think, the whole thing about hobbits is - they don't have balls. Literally. And they have zero testosterone, which is why they're always afraid.

It's annoying.

I'm putting in Rambo as soon as this is over.

Why do people review recipes when they change pretty much everything about them? This recipe had 6 ingredients. The reviewer listed 7 things they added and said it was great. ... but it wasn't the actual recipe even a little bit.

I'm all for simple cooking, the less ingredients the better

ambrosia1231 and I used to argue about that a lot. she would throw all sorts of stuff in things, and it would usually taste good, but she could never remember how to make it. (except those deviled eggs she made for the super bowl party, )

We had a deviled egg cook off once and we counted ingredients added to the egg yolk. She added at least 7, and I added 2. This was for a standard deviled egg. She decided that mine were just as good as hers, but I think mine were better.

what do you put in yours?

I only put duke's mayo and sweet relish in mine. Sometimes I add bacon and then put a little strip of crispy bacon right on top.

^ That's happened to me before too when I forget mine on a trip and have to use my bf's.

I have no problem with throwing random things in recipes and making stuff with lots of ingredients in general. I just think it's dumb when someone takes a recipe for beans and tomatoes and says "I added beef broth to turn it into a soup, and spinach and sausage and Cajun seasoning and ..." and then reviews it with a rating on the original recipe. That doesn't make sense.

yeah, that's silly.

also, I think the success of my deviled eggs is mainly based on my egg boiling technique. I researched all sorts of stuff and perfected it.

buy eggs about a week in advance (at the very least 3 days) store egg carton on its side so the yolks move to the right spot. place eggs in pot and fill with water to about 1 inch above the top of the eggs. Eggs should stand up, but not float. Set on burner on high until water starts to boil. Cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 15 minutes, and immediately pour out hot water and replace with ice water. Peel under cold running water whenever you are ready!

The yolks are gorgeous! No green around them or anything. The reason you want to buy them and wait a while is to age them, makes peeling easier. Storing them on the side makes the yolk center, and something about the bubble moving. Whatever it is, the yolk is in the perfect spot and the whole process makes a beautiful deviled egg

Good question. I don't know neighborhoods there. We stayed in a hotel in Mayfaire (?) and it's near there somewhat. Bayshore maybe?

LOL, the square footage is about the same as our CA house and it's like 25% of the cost. It's nice and with a big lot and all that fun stuff, but they haven't actually made an offer yet... but that's the one they like.
