For some reason, Luke Cothron's name popped into my brain a few minutes ago after completely dropping off my radar before the season started.

He enrolled at UMass, intending to sit out a year as a non-qualifier. Then transfered to New Orleans where he was able to play immediately since they're going to DIII next year. ESPN says he played in one game for New Orleans, Dec. 12, 6 minutes, 2 points, 2 fouls before the NCAA stepped in, unhappy about the NO loophole. He then transfered to something called the College of Southern Idaho, which apparently exists. He had to sit out the rest of the season, should be eligible next year.

I don't see this story having a happy ending.

Next year's class has PG Tyler Lewis and C Josip Mikulic. I imagine that Gottfried would keep the two available scholarships to try to land a solid 2012 class. He'll most likely want to keep Lewis, but I'm sure he'll carefully consider Mikulic and decide on whether he thinks he'll be a good fit or not. I'm looking at a possible 4 man class for 2012, with CJ Leslie likely being far enough along in his development to go to the NBA. If we do end up being able to bring in a 4 man class, I hope MMFG (Mark Motherfucking Gottfried) decides to go after TJ Warren and Torian Graham to finish the class.

i wouldn't be surprised if Harrow left. Sid seemed like the right fit for the kid. he seems like the kind of player that needs to be coddled. i don't get the feeling Gottfried will be doing that.

Harrow will be a great player -- he just needs time. I don't get why people expected him to be the shit when he weighs 150 pounds. When you have to transform your body and adjust to a whole new game, your skills deteriorate.

This summer and next should produce huge improvements in his game if he is working hard.

So i only saw 2 players (PG) for this years class not committed (at this point i guess everyone has signed?). Elijah Cater and Patrick Lucas-Perry.

we are really thin at PG even with Harrow.

Brown can slide over and play the point when Harrow needs a break. He handles it as well as any back up type point guard.

I may have not heard what you heard but what I heard did not sound positive. Harrow looked at Lowe differently from the rest. He is pretty upset about his departure from what I've read, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he leaves.
