I called around to a few Best Buys on monday and they were out, and sounded like they had been for a while. One place even had an automated message saying they were out and wont be getting any more - shows that they had enough calls to warrant putting the message up

^^ yeah. Best Buy was going to send them back to hp so that's why they put the messages up but then they decided to send them back to the stores to sell. The employees were clueless though. There's a spreadsheet floating around that had expected shipments on the next truck for garner and cary but when I went to the one in Garner yesterday, she claimed they weren't getting anymore. Asked her when their next truck was coming and she said today so I'm guess that's when the one here got the touchpads.

yeah, i checked brier creek and he said they were getting 40 in today, but calling in the message was updated to say they were out

^^^I think it was the one up on Capital close to our house actually. I also called the store in Knightdale and spoke to a girl who sounded like shes been getting calls about the tablets all day

check that, just called and there was a message like, "as of today, August 24th, we are sold out of the HP tablets and dont know if or when we'll get more"
