I wish Babchuk would just suck it up and play a few games in Albany. He's got a lot of potential and I would hate to see him moved now while JR is trying to move either Tanabe or Hutch.

I will also be wearing my Cory Stillman shirt today in the hopes that he heals and returns as quickly as possible. It was great watching the entire team healthy on Tuesday, even if the broadcast was in French.

Eklund also reported on his blog last night that the Canes are supposedly very interested in Jason Blake if the Islanders are willing to shop him. Most of Eklund's rumors turn out to be nothing, but I wouldn't mind seeing a guy like Blake in the red and white. Question is what is it gonna take to get him.

the garden is dead, maybe due to the fact of the Celtics losing lately. Last game I went to at the RBC I was behind the goal and it seemed like I was the first/only one to stand up during goals. But to be fair some of the people were pretty old. The crowd did geat really loud after a 5 on 3 was killed.

I guess Vasicek still has potential (his comeback game against the Caps last season), but from what I've seen this guy does not belong in the "new NHL" at all. Not that Belanger was having a ton of success here, but at least he was fast enough to keep up with his linemates.

Belanger has 1 point in the last 10 games. Joe is a bruiser, so maybe thats what we need, more of a defensive centerman, we have the speed on other lines

Okay, now that it is 5 minutes later and the initial shock of seeing this has settle down, I am thinking a bit more level headed about it.

Belanger is a free agent after this season, and has expressed I believe that he does not really want to play here. Vasicek likes being here, he just sucks ass. He has been spending recent time in Nashville in the same place he spent most of the playoffs last year: in the press box.

I've always liked the guy (well until the playoffs when guys like LaRose and Ladd were in the pressbox while he stumbled around on the ice), so hopefully he can find his game again.
