^^ I have been hoping that as well. If by some miracle Davidson faces and beats Kansas, then they have to beat UNC (if UNC makes it that far). I think Kansas and UNC are best teams in this tournament, for Davidson to get past them both would make this this one of the greatest runs in history.

one of the many factors that contributed to me picking Kansas to win it all, was when one of my biased UNC grad friends said he was picking Kansas to win it all

^ Many would say that Kansas is actually the better team in this tournament. I haven't seen them play at all though.

i saw them play a couple times during their opening season streak where they got to like 16-0 or something and were the only undefeated team in the country...i think they have more overall talented BALANCE than any other team in the country...good guards, good bigs, shooting, defense, rebounding, athletes...just a great team overall...but UNC and UCLA are really good too, so thats why they play the games

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP)—The next time UCLA shows up in Anaheim could be in March for early round NCAA tournament games. The Bruins hope that visit won’t be nearly so worrisome.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute scored 21 points and the seventh-ranked Bruins made up an 18-point deficit to beat Davidson 75-63 in the John Wooden Classic on Saturday.

“I was really worried about this game,” UCLA coach Ben Howland said. “I would not want to be the team that plays them in the NCAA tournament.”........"

Davidson also scrimmaged against Texas in the pre-season. Rick Barnes wanted teach his team to take all challenges seriously.

Ok, they need to stop using car horns as buzzers in Reliant Stadium. I could understand if they were doing this in Detroit, but I would still be annoyed all the same.

Friday night, we are too tough on D and have too much size for them in the paint...I have a lot of faith in Flowers to holding Curry to about 20...Any of you that say I would have rather played G'Town are crazy...
This team looked real damn good Saturday and if Hughes continues his hot play the it's lights out...We play great D, don't turn the ball over and we don't foul...2 of those 3 beat G'Town, they had 16 more TO's and they fouled way to much, going for a lot of block shots...
The Badgers will take care of buisness and win by at least 10...I mean Davidson was down by double digits to both Gonzaga and G'Town.
Call it calculated, call it methodical. Call them boring. CALL THEM CHAMPIONS"

Did you even know who this guy was before last year?

Did you know Davidson even played basketball?

Curry made this guy, he will fade back into obscurity when Curry leaves.

3/28/2008 9:05:10 PM"

This was posted in the other thread. I hope this was a joke. McKillop has long been a great coach and I for one knew him. Hell I even suggested him when were looking after Herb left. Now I would love to have him. He has always fielded teams like this but he got a great talent in Curry to take him to a higher level. This isn't the first time his teams have swept through the SoCon.

^^^ I never said he wasn't a good coach.

But you can't deny that until last year Davidson has been completely obscure on the national scene.

Perhaps "Curry made this guy" was too harsh, I was flaming an idiot. But the fact remains that 99% of America would have no idea who this guy is if it wasn't for Curry.
