I notice differences with just a 3lb change."

I've taken a pretty big hit (10 to 15 percent depending on lift). I don't think I'm even going to bother w/ the competition next month. The fact that this has stirred up asthma issues is not helping one bit either.

Granted, I know the lifts should come back relatively soon, I hope....assuming I can get the asthma under control, again. I should probably do a composition analysis, to see just what happened to me.

i'm taking the next 2 weeks and slowing down a bit. i'm having some pretty bad pain behind my knee cap in my right knee. it hurts when i bend my knee, especially at squats and lunges. running isn't too bad but it hurts after. i'm going to lay off the weight training and running and switch to walking 4 days a week and see how i feel. i don't think it's anything too serious - probably just some tendinitis.

so i'm going to get in on this. i can finally say that i have gotten back into the habit of going to the gym at least 3 times week for the past 4 weeks (last week i went 4 days and looking to be on the same track this week). i've been on hiatus since Thanksgiving and put on 10 lbs. since i've started back i've lost 6 lbs. this is the first time though that i have been really good about cardio. my goal is to run at least 3 miles 3 times a week. once i meet that goal i'll re-evaluate where i'm at and see if i want to step it up. my weight as of yesterday was 184. my goal weight is 165 and 10% body fat. i'll try to take pictures soon.

ok, next time I'll post it up.

weighed in again this morning, second day at 217. I'm happy about that, because its not an anomaly. 217 isn't my goal, so I'll keep doing what I'm doing.

bye bye FatRaiden, bye bye.

ok so i took some pics this morning...

Weight = 184lbs

Goal weight = 165lbs

My goal weight is just an approximation. i'm not so much concerned about weight as i am body fat % and i would love to have some visible abs.

for comparison here is me at 165lbs 4 years ago

and this is what i'd like to get to...

I went to the doctor yesterday - we're doing another round of thyroid testing and also checking my electrolytes. my thyroid test came back high/abnormal in January so he wants to check it to see if was a fluke thing or if I have hypothyroidism. He's checking my electrolytes (sodium, potassium, etc) because I mentioned how sensitive to sodium I've become in the last few months and he said that since I am on BC, it would be smart to check my potassium levels.

Besides that I'm feeling okay. Knee isn't hurting as bad today which is good because I went on a painting spree last night. I am sleeping MUCH better - yay no more insomnia! But the weight loss has been anything but fun. I've been able to lose 5 pounds and for the most part keep it off but my weight still yo-yos a lot depending on what I eat the day before (hello obsession). I would think with the amount of working out and healthy eating I've been doing (logging my stuff into an app on my phone), I would have managed to lose more than 5 pounds, which now concerns my doctor.

They're also switching my BC again next month and I'm kind of nervous to see what happens. Luckily, the new BC is made at the same company as the BC I'm on now and it's pretty much the same thing, just lower estrogen.

....so the human science experiment continues...

Cass, is the app you're using LoseIt! for iPhone? That's what I've been doing, and it's amazingly convenient to have a calorie counter like that just sitting in the pocket at all times.

my lower back is extremely tight from doing my squat workout yesterday. I must have been rounding out my back as I broke below parallel, or I was digging the bar in too low on my shoulders to squat deep. I don't think I was leaning too far forward, because I can practically balance on the back of my heels when squatting. I'm not exactly sure where my form got off, but I need to fix it quick.

I think I might take a camera in to the gym next time so I can figure out what I'm doing wrong.

^^ i was using Lose It! but then i found Spark People and i like that app better because it not only counts calories but it counts fat, carbs, and protein too and tells you within what range you're supposed to be at. it also tracks fitness separately unlike Lose It! so i have 1500-1800 calories a day and my fitness is separate.

The Spark People app is free and totally worth it. i like it better than Lose It! but thats just my personal opinion.

today sucked.

SUCKED.

i went to the gym and got out about 20 pushups and 40 burpees before i felt like my kneecaps were gonna pop out
i got on the bike at low resistance and pedaled away for a while (i got sucked into a house episode ahaha) and then THAT started hurting me

i got a suggestion to take about 800 mg ibuprofen for a few days, and stay off of it a bit and see if that helps with the pain.
goodness i hope so.

im scared shitless that i have osteoarthritis at 27 : (

Do any of you ladies on here go to the planet fitness on western? And are any of you interested in going with me at around 6 am on week days? I can get Brett to go with me on rare occasions, but I feel like if I had to meet someone there I'd be more likely to force myself to go. I've gone the last 3 days in a row, but I'd still like some motivation and company

Lindsey I plan on switching to that gym this fall after my membership to Rapid is up. Who would have thought that when I signed a 2 year contract I would move 6 months later across town.

Do you have the "bring a guest any time" option? If so I can definitely go with you at 6am on Wednesdays. I work from home so I can get my work outs in before I start working at 7. I live 5 minutes from the gym. Would that work?

So today was one of the first days that I felt like there was a noticeable difference since I started working out and watching what I ate. Was down to 102 kilos when I weighed this afternoon.

Looking forward to being under 100 kilos!

(When I come back Stateside and get below 200 lbs will be the big day for me though)

I lost 25 lbs since Jan 1st, down from 205 to 180.

Also been in the gym quite a bit toning up. I will post a pic later, but it's pretty useless without a "before" pic.

The weigh in is tonight (week three) but I've been not as strict the past two days as far as calorie counting goes. I need to get back on that.

I did weigh myself this morning at 102 kilos (let's see... carry the one... 224.4 lbs?) and that's an improvement over 235 when I started this whole thing on purpose and my heaviest of 250.

Let's go motivation!
