Much better? I don't know about that. We're a decent team this year, better than we've been in a while. Just because we don't make the tournament doesn't mean we've not improved. But we should be even better next year. Hopefully much better, but we'll have to wait and see.

We were picked 4th and 5th by many people , and it was a common belief on this board.

We couldn't have had an easier schedule this year.

We only played the good teams four times, the decent teams five times, and the shit teams 7 times.

8-8 with a terrible non conference record is a bad season. Need to salvage it with an acct run, or nit final four at the very least

^^just scanned the first 10 or so pages of this thread and nobody said anything remotely close to that. A couple people saying breaking .500 would be a good season and you chest thumping about a national championship but NOBODY claims we were amongst the top tier teams of the ACC. My memory of reality had us picked 8th by ACC writers and 7th by ESPN. Who exactly picked us to finish 4th/5th?

I see a team with a few very good players, and a few solid players. There's a difference between not being able to satisfy the pie-in-the-sky dreams of a fanbase starving for any success whatsoever, and not "wanting to win".

If they didn't want to win, they wouldn't want to play, much less practice. Who the fuck would go through all that effort if they didn't give a shit?

Someone could say the players care more about a future paycheck than winning, but winning games directly impacts future financial earnings for most these players, unless they are CJ Leslie. it would be dumb for him to go if early second round is best case scenario. 2nd round draft picks don't get guaranteed contracts. he could be on the street in a year for any number of reasons.
