Obliterated the guy I played this week, 174-63. Thanks mostly to DMC, Megatron, Daniel Thomas, and the Cardinals D (with Lance Moore blowing up on my bench ). Really need better QB play, as Bradford was pretty worthless until garbage time, and Dalton just had a terrible game as well. Wonder if I could get a serviceable QB by trading either Shonn Greene or Daniel Thomas? Would rather trade Greene, but Thomas might lead to a QB with more upside. Any thoughts?

I got walloped... oh and added another injury to my allstar team with britt- he can sit on the IR next to charles and joke around with Jackson, Vick, and anyone else that decides to ruing my chances at winning a game on their first touch of the ball....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, so I still have a chance in one league, albeit not great- I have the QB slot to play, and other guy is playing witten and I'm currently down 7 points. Do I gamble and break even on all Witten TD's and play Romo, or do I play the QB I'm almost certain will make it through the entire game with Grossman?

Michael Turner and Philip Rivers combined for a whopping 10 points in my league and cost me this week.

Yeah, I had an absolutely horrible week. Other than Brady, none of my players scored any touchdowns. Losing Charles has really killed me. Hopefully I get the player I just put in a waiver request for and get back on track. Not looking like a good year already.

Any of these players worth getting rid of (in a trade) or should I hold onto them:

Kenny Britt
Dez Bryant
Steven Jackson (STL)
Arian Foster
Percy Harvin
Knowshon Moreno

I feel like my whole team is injured.

Where are all those people on the Tolbert bandwagon now?

To be fair, this was the first week they gave the goal-line carries to Ryan Matthews.... and the first week he's actually scored in the red zone.

Romo is an annual top 10 fantasy guy. Rex Grossman is Rex Grossman. Don't overthink this.

I'm currently down 7 points and going against witten- Romo is banged up and if he goes out of the game early, I'm fucked... I think it really is a toss up. Last time Grossman put up 322 yards and had 4 tds! This is a very debatable choice

I'm very hesitant to give you both welker and brady, thats pretty destructive right there

then again, patriots can't be pass only all year, eventually everyone is gonna catch on to buffalo and just drop everyone into coverage

if this were a regular scoring league, then like I said I completely agree. The fact defenses are high scoring turns the tables a bit.

The dude who won it all 2 years ago had a shitty offensive team (like literally one of the worst) and the 2 best D's in the league

I was offered the following:
I get Reggie Wayne
I give Michael Turner

My RBs are Fred Jackson and AP (Starks on the bench) and WRs are Nicks, Mike Williams (TB), Percy Harvin, Eric Decker and Hines Ward (the first three are starting). We can start 3 WRs and 2 RBs...no flex spot. Any thoughts? Jackson and AP have been great this year, but the trade leaves me thin at RB.

They have done this for years now, why do you think they will all of a sudden develop a running game? They will have a threat of a run, but they will have 2x as many yds and TDs through the air (Last year, 4022/1973 yds and 37/19 Tds). In Welker's last 9 games he has had only 2 games with less than 7 receptions, and those two games were at the end of the regular season last year.

[Edited on September 27, 2011 at 11:44 AM. Reason : Plus Welker averages about 1/4 of Brady's yds.]

I dont think they'll develop a running game but I do think we'll see brady getting sacked more and throwin a lot more interceptions, both of which hurt

Brady is going to get his regardless. He only threw 4 picks the entire season last year. Not saying you should or shouldn't make the trade, just don't discount Brady because of one "bad" performance. He still had 4TDs and almost 400 yds. Atleast one of those picks was the receiver's fault too...

got a trade offer, i don't think i'm gonna take it.. i would just to help the other guy out, cuz his team is terrible.

Get:
Bernard Scott
Sidney Rice

Give:
Jahvid Best

I have Cedric Benson, so when he gets suspended it would be good to have Scott I guess. But it takes a possible bye week option away, I also have Daniel Thomas and Deangelo Williams (who sucks). So I could either lose Ceddy whenever he goes out for a few games and have Scott or Best, but also get a decent option at WR too (I have Dez Bryant, Andre Johnson, Devery Henderson, and Michael Crabtree)

I would absolutely not take that trade.

You've be giving up a good starting RB that doesn't share carries with anyone (very rare in the league these days) for a backup who will have limited playing time even when Benson is out and a good WR on a terrible team. Rice will not have a good season in Seattle this year because of who is throwing to him and because the team is awful.

Offered Trade:

Give: Jeremy Maclin, Felix Jones
Receive: Chris Johnson, Jordy Nelson

Rest of my roster:
Jahvid Best
Daniel Thomas
Marshawn Lynch
K. Moreno

Sidney Rice
Dez Bryant
David Nelson
K. Britt

We start 2RB, 2WR and a flex... I'm currently 3-0 and looking toward beefing my team up for playoffs... I feel like CJ will get his shit together and Jordy is solid... just lots of weapons on the team.... Jones injuries scare me and the Eagles Vick injuries also scare me with Maclin... I think I should accept trade... any thoughts?

Pick 1 to start:

Sidney Rice, Sea WR vs. ATL

or

James Starks, GB RB vs. DEN

^Sounds to me like your assessment is pretty solid. You have to think Johnson will come around eventually. He's definitely going to get his touches. Injuries are definitely playing into the equation with the guys you're giving away. Not a bad trade and will certainly work in your favor if Johnson shapes up a little. You look at the defenses that Johnson has had to run against so far. Baltimore and Jax are both pretty good against the run so far this season. Denver isn't too bad. That's my two cents but what do I know?

I like starks- the only reason I would consider Rice is if return yards counted a good bit, but even then, i'd still probably lean towards starks

^^^^^^I would go with Starks as well. Denver is average in both pass and run defense and Starks factors into both for GB.

Brandon Jacobs vs. Arizona. (splitting carries w/ <50% of the RB touches, but playing against a weak run-D)
or
James Starks vs Denver. (splitting carries w/ >50% of RB touches, but playing against a better, but still average run-D)
or
Shonn Greene vs. Baltimore

I'm definitely starting McFadden and Blount (vs. Indy), just need to put someone in that last starting spot.

Updates:

-BJGE may have lost his starting spot to Ridley
-Benson may have his suspension hearing postponed until after the season, thus it is likely that he wont be suspended THIS year.
-Ocho Cinco may get released (randy moss anyone?)
-gates came out of his exam ok, theyre saying he's good to go this week as his pain level is better than it was last year
-The Chiefs, seahawks, and browns are taking a long look at steve slaton
- Seattle LB Aaron Curry may be traded before the deadline with the likely destinations being the Lions, eagles and panthers

that is all

^^Dexter McCluster: picking up some of Jamaal Charles's touches and counts as either a RB or WR in most leagues.
Ben Tate, if he is available. been considering picking him up myself, but I don't know whom I would drop.
