I feel like Bonnie cheated death a number of times and it finally caught up to her...I mean, how often can you go into a coma-like state while doing a spell and then wake up and be ok? Or bleed from your nose?

Katherine never wanted to be human. She wanted to be immortal like Silas. That is why she gave Bonnie Silas' headstone. Bonnie was supposed to find out from Katsiyah (the witch that made Silas immortal) how to do the immortality spell. Elena got the cure from Stefan b/c Stefan wanted her to take it. But when Katherine was fighting with Elena, Elena shoved it down her throat.

Oh and I loved Klaus in this episode...
