I was just using hypotheticals. I just picked out major teams in the top-10 right now that only play one FCS team. It doesn't matter who we're talking about, although the SEC teams get the benefit of the doubt for their SOS.

I'll rephrase my question: They (FSU) have two FCS teams on their schedule. If they had gone undefeated, would they have gone to the national title game over a 1-loss South Carolina, LSU, or Florida team? This is assuming there is already one other clear-cut team, like Alabama or Oregon, who would remain undefeated for the rest of the regular season, and who play no more than 1 FCS team.

In 2011-12, a 1-loss Alabama team went to the title game. In 2008-09, a 1-loss Florida team and 1-loss Oklahoma team went. In 2007-08 a 2-loss LSU team and 1-loss Ohio State team went.

FSU could say, well we went to the ACC Championship game and won, so we went 13-0 and beat 11 FBS teams. I'm trying to think of a likely scenario where this could happen and they would still get passed over...

If it were a fringe preseason top 25 team then I would say they would get skipped with FSU's schedule. But had FSU actually gone undefeated, with everyone proclaiming how talented they were, and being ranked in the preseason top 10, they would not have been skipped by a 1 loss team. One of the major problems with preseason polls.

^^it's a valid question, just pointing out you chose to list one team with a 0% chance and another with a very small chance in your scenario. The rest of Clemson's season would come into the equation as well, if they and uf win out (aside from uf/fsu of course), then fsu has 2 top 10 victories along with already being 2/3 in last week's polls.

A few comments on that letter to the editor:

1) Don't sit in the student section if you want to cheer for the opposition. There's a visitor's section for that crap.
2) The students who provided those tickets to the FSU folks should be kicked out of school.
3) A guy who resembles Santa Claus saying f**k you to the fan is hilarious and one reason I love NC State fans.
4) Props to whomever the kid was who gator chomped at this ass clown for 4 straight quarters. Hope he was happy on his trip back to Tallahassee with a loss.

Tried that dozens of time as a student, never worked. I did get a visitor to swing at me though and they got kicked out, so I think annoying them until they do that is probably the way to go.

I had my student ticket checked at a game once (I was cheering for NCSU, the people who got the usher were completely drunk) but I had a valid ticket. They kept telling the usher I wasn't allowed to sit in section 7 even though my hand and ticket had 7/8 stamped on them.
