Boring game.

Thought it could be promising looking at it on the schedule. Oh well. Welsh derby should be fun though I'll be missing it.

11 points separate top 10 teams. Loving the competitive table this year.

Biggest gap is 1 to 2. And that'll obviously change by New Years. Arsenal is very good but depth over time will hurt them. Need Walcott, Ox, Podolski and Flamini back desperately.

Brutal 8 day stretch coming. Liverpool, away to Dortmund and away to United.

Morgan is such a big cunt even arsenal fans hate him and wish he was a united fan instead.

I would love to knock these cocky arse fans lately down a few pegs but probably not going to happen this weekend. The situation is so dire I would be relatively happy with a draw. I hope Rooney goes into top gear as he usually does against Arsenal and makes a real difference. This match is perfectly poised for Arsenal to dominate. United give teams too much space and Arsenal will be one team to exploit it. Moyes can't afford to sit back in this one. Play a midfield 3, press high, and play through the wings. Only way to stifle a team that relies on possession. 3-1 Arsenal for me, I just can't see United winning with the recent form.

They are unbeaten in their last 8 games scoring 15 and conceding 6

Not the United of old but far from the United of the first month.

No Carrick is going to really hurt in a game where there is a huge mismatch in the midfield anyway. And Cleverly is out too though I don't really rate him.

United's forwards still scare the shit out of me though. After this week I'd probably take a draw.

jd that 8 game stretch has included struggles against

Southampton
Sunderland
Real Sociedad
Stoke

All 4 teams that are no where near the quality of Arsenal and all 4 teams that United should have beaten comfortably. Even against Fulham after the first half, Moyes lost his head and that second half was just dire.

United fans who are making a lot of this 8 match stretch are in for a rude awakening on sunday. The play on the pitch is more relevant here. An 8 match unbeaten stretch is a stat taken out of context. Put it into context and its very clear United have struggled and haven't played with any consistency.

Moyes unfortunately will most probably line up defensively and play for a draw. It will be infuriating to watch and will most likely end any title challenge talks. Fingers crossed I am wrong and Moyes puts a team out there that can actually create chances. I wouldn't mind losing as long as we put in a good performance.

Shame he won't get service against good teams with that midfield.

I think they should play that Spanish kid from the reserves that scored against Arsenal in the Capital One Cup. Seemed he had lots of potential.

Oh well. Never the favorites without Walcott, Rosicky, Podolski, Chamberlain and Mertesacker.

Rooney was immense and the rapist finished well.

Desperately need Walcott back. Just no pace out wide right now....

It was kind of boring but United were terrific defensively. Never seen Rooney with that much effort over full 90.

Arsenal had 60\40 possession. Does that mean United parked the bus? Asking for a friend.

^ Barca North just isn't allowed to play the way they want :-(

For what its worth United fans that was extremely well played and well coached. Don't think they'll finish ahead of Arsenal but well played.

Double post but this season may be the most fascinating I've ever seen. I never really believed Arsenal had a chance to win the title even after Ozil but my two favorites (City and Chelsea) have been so inconsistent that literally any one of six teams could win.

^ lol you def didn't park the bus. I was being a troll

There was no bus parking in that performance.

I mean, perhaps by United standards when Fellaini was brought on for RvP, but in the traditional sense not at all.

He was making fun of Spurs fans in that every time they fail to score, it's because the opponent was parking the bus.

Not a typical United home performance by any means but style points don't matter though and it's a huge win for Moyes. Rooney again MOTM, he's been fantastic this season.

Credit goes where its due and David Moyes deserves every bit of it. The first 45 minutes were tactically perfect. Jones in midfield to disrupt Arsenal's flow was a fantastic choice, and to anyone that says Rooney can't put in that sort of a performance, watch more of United. Rooney puts in that sort of performance almost every match, especially the big ones. I think Kagawa is starting to get the hang of that left side a bit and I really hope Rooney and Kagawa interchange during play like today. Arsenal got more possession when Vidic was taken off with the injury and Cleverley had to go into midfield. Still believe Valencia was a bit lost and United desperately need someone on that side. Januzaj is obviously a capable replacement but way too young to step into that role. Great performance, and I hope this goes a long way in jump starting United's season.

it wasn't bus-parking...they didn't have to park their bus. Arsenal were just sterile on offense, and blew a couple of excellent header-chances.

I got the feeling Arsenal sort of choked and lost confidence when the goal went in. Like, they thought "Oh, shit, this is United, United always get the better of us." They didn't expect to come back and win, simply because they were playing Manchester United. Such, at any rate, was my perception.

Finally back. International breaks are the worst. Busy season just around the corner. Liverpool's and Arsenal's depht will be tested over the Christmas period. I expect pool to falter a bit here but they have already proven me wrong on the start and a decent busy season could see them shore up top 4. United has started to play a bit better but injuries have hit at the wrong time in the weakest area for United. Fletcher has been out for too long to step up and Fellaini will have to prove he is United quality while Carrick is on the bench. City is still inconsistent and Spurs haven't exactly been great as of late. The Arsenal loss to United has obviously made the busy season a lot more interesting. Title challengers will emerge by the end of December. I am excited!

All trolling aside, Soldado doesn't score because he gets ZERO quality service. They desperately need a change of formation. Yes they take a lot of shot but very few are quality chances.

Townsend was leading the prem in shots but most were from 30 yards out.

Hey guys, what time does the Spurs first team game start? I saw that the u13s lost 6-0, but I'd like to watch the first team play. I imagine that the two expensive lineups will make the game a right cracker.
