Both the Steelers and Ravens were taking shots at Cam's ankle, but that's pretty normal for a player with well publicized injuries. Burfict crossed the line though, he was just mad about getting scored on.

I dont feel all the great about the tie. ol buddy missed the field goal. that's what it came down to

let this be repeated

Quote :
"37 points should have been enough. The defense is inexplicably ass"

the defense looks awful w/o Hardy. which is unreal

but the Bengal's defense absolutely has NO excuse for how they played. the played like ass too. Cam found the Lazarus Pit in their holes.

we need running backs.

I don't know what's going on with the defense. I refuse to believe that Greg Hardy is the only reason a #2 defense in the NFL last year sucks ass now.

its a little funny to me that as I'm looking back on how I felt watching today's game, we improved greatly on tackling (and Luke rarely makes a mistake there so when it's him doing the most of the tackling it'll always look that way) but we looked even more soft on coverage

usually we're quick to the ball carrier, quick to miss

today we were just slow to get anywhere (except Luke)

the talent gap b/t Hardy and that dude who is on the field now is like the Grand Canyon. you can see it. there's hardly no pass rush except from Johnson. Luke K feel like he has to do everything b/c the back 7 is getting picked apart. I'm glad they are ballhawks tho

The O line held up together I believed for the panthers. Cam looked like a god and his body belongs in a Hospital.

Gotta give credit to Dalton for getting rid of the ball quickly on most plays. Hard to get an effective pass rush when the ball is thrown within 2-3 seconds every play.

Biggest problem on defense is the fucking terrible safeties. You don't give up this many 80 yard runs without clueless fucktards back there taking bad angles. At least Mitchell was fast enough to recover when he fucked up

I'm almost at the point where I'd rather have Godfrey back there. At least then he couldnt suck ass at nickel

Our strategy was the same this year as last year, establish the front 7(we thought we had at the time after paying Hardy a ton of money) and then just cycle in veteran secondary guys. Last year we followed the same blue-print getting guys like Mike Mitchell and Drayton Florence and it worked out really well. This year it hasn't worked out. Cason turned out to be a good investment, but both safeties are as bad as they were on their previous teams.

That 3rd level is really, really average. Mikell and Mitchell were miles better than Decoud/Harper.

I just try and keep in mind that we're having to bite the bullet this year to set ourselves up with the cap, and Gettleman did the best he could with both hands tied. If we could find a lockdown corner or an impact safety in the draft the next couple of years to really shore up that 3rd level, this defense could be back at the top quickly.

We have known that our DBs have been pretty average over the last few seasons, but our DL and LBs keep that from mattering too much. With Hardy gone, the QB has just a little more time to pick apart our secondary. Delicate balance... we need another NFLer to shoot himself or rob a bank or something so that people wouldnt notice if we slipped Hardy back in the lineup. When is the earliest we could get him back anyway? Mid Nov?

Hardy isn't coming back unless he's found not guilty by a jury. And that's not going to happen unless the victim suddenly decides not to testify against him at the next trial.

Exactly, our hands were tied this season and we should be ecstatic that despite all that, the Panthers still look like the clear favorites in the division. 9-6-1 or even 8-7-1 could be enough for a playoff berth. Just keep beating NFC teams.

Williams out for several more weeks. He and Stewart are fucking Bonnie and Clyde having robbed this team for millions of dollars over the past several years. get the fuck out of here.

Running backs are a dime a dozen now. You can stick practice squad guys back there and it doesn't matter, as we have seen this season.

There's a new stat that measures "interceptable passes", and Cam leads the league with apparently zero passes that "should" have been picked. Jay Cutler was the worst with nine. I gotta call into question it's credibility a bit, the pick against Cincy was an overthrown ball to a 6'5" receiver that probably would have been easier to intercept if Kelvin didn't tip it.

^Considering he's thrown zero interceptable passes but has been intercepted, I'd imagine it's not too high

I'm sure coaches and scouts use something like "interceptable passes" to actually evaluate quarterbacks. The official stat only exists to make fun of Eli Manning.

Tim Tebow used to lead the league in that category by throwing passes so inaccurate that nobody, his receivers or opposing DBs, had a chance to catch.

Burfict gets a 25k fine for trying to wrench Cam and Olsen's ankles after scoring TDs.

He also managed to concuss Kelvin Benjamin on the play where he was flagged for targeting a defenseless receiver. Its cool though because Pac-Man Jones says that Burfict hit him and not Benjamin, therefore he did not concuss our WR.

What a piece of shit.
