Got to the final table and proceeded to get fucked repeatedly on my BB with shitty cards. Chip leader started dominating everything, winning every hand she played. Finally her 59 took out my K8 when I had like 4bb's left.

I did win 547$ though

Nice. That was what happened to me last big tournament when I was card dead. Average chip stack 4 handed and then proceed to have to fold 30 hands in a row.

This has nothing to do with poker, however, go vote for my sister to become the next biggest loser @ http://www.nbc.com/The_Biggest_Loser/vote/register.shtml

As soon as the show is over ill be back in this thread posting hands, etc.

Anyone try using echeck for withdrawal on Stars yet? Its taking longer than actual checks at this point...

echeck has been slow for a while now. Usually with a good book or poker room as soon as your check request gets approved it's overnighted from a canadian bank. Definitely the best method imo these days if you're certain they have no processor problems.

Holy christ I about had a heart attack.

Playing in a 5.5k guarantee on FTP, about half the crowd left. I had been sitting at around 4k chips (started with 3k) for a while, finally I caught QQ. UTG raises to 400, UTG+2 raises all in with 2k. I push to the UTG who has about 4.5k. Flop comes Q56, rainbow. UTG has A10, UTG+2 has AK. Turn comes J. Then my internet goes out (It hiccups every now and then when I have rapidshare going). So I'm sitting there starting at the river waiting for it to come out and praying its not a 10/K for like 30 seconds. That was NOT cool.

Oh, and it wasn't.

I'm having like the shittiest run ever today. Seriously anything that can hit on the river will. I've been hit by lower pp's making a set on the river or lower hands catching 4 to the flush on the turn/river at least like 15 times today. It's getting ridiculous.

i was in vegas over the weekend (with girls who don't gamble-boo) and finally got away for a couple hours sunday afternoon for some 1-2NL at MGM. my play was fair at best; definitely misplayed small and middle pockets, but in the end, it worked out for me. it was a fairly agreessive table. i limped with the pairs and waited to see who was going to raise - because there was always a raise.

no more than two hours of play and +$140.

the hand that broke my heart was actually a split pot.

AsKs UTG - Raised to $13 (~$130)
P5 call (~$1,200)
P6 reraises to $25 (~ $160)
All others fold
I call
P5 call
Flop: AcKcXd
Lead for $30
P5 call
P6 All-in
I call
P5 fold

Turn: Ad
River: Kd

P6 holds AcKc

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? Are we playing online? NO!!!

i am going to biloxi tomorrow. i'll get in a few hours after the company holiday party. actually, i don't sleep when i go there ... so i'll get in about 10 hours.

I hate when bad players get paid off...especially at my expense

I know it obviously worked exactly like he wanted, but personally I think that's a terrible way to play aces...

I would never limp pre w 66 esp at a deep tbl. But as is you'd go broke regardless unless he 3bet pre then easy fold.

I rarely limp behind any PP's, but I would have been stacked regardless because depending on his 3bet PF, I'd probably call it for set value. But ya, open limping aces is definitely -EV.

really? I always like to limp with pocket pairs under 10 cause you can just throw them away after the flop if you don't hit a set without losing much. If you raise preflop, you face the possibility of getting re-raised by someone behind you. Then either have to fold without even getting to see the flop or if you call and miss the flop you lose even more.

If I limp and someone behind me 3bets, I would call almost always unless I'm going to be heads up with a tight player. If they're holding AA or KK and I hit my set on a flop of say 2 5 8, most of the time I'm going to take a huge pot off them.

I don't know if that's the textbook way to play, but it works out pretty well for me most of the time.

For the 66 choosing whether to limp or not I would opt for a raise simply to range balance. Although it is true that that concept means next to nothing before 200nl atleast, so I think the limp is fine...just not the way I roll I guess :-)

Still trying to figure out how that was a bad beat and why you would bet everything you own on that hand.

eh, guess it's not a "bad" beat...just a "beat"

but it was small blind vs. big blind, only 2 hands that could beat me were AA or AK, AK would've been the case K and definitely a hand he should've re-raised with preflop, pocket aces I just figured he would've raised at some point either preflop, post flop or turn when I clearly was representing a big hand.

why would you have any reason to put him on either of those hands?

I hate these situations. I'm short stack with only 4 bb's left. Pick up AJ suited on the button and I've got someone all in in front of me. I knew I was behind but I figured I was about to get blinded out anyways. Would you have folded if you were me?
