3+^ my parents both used to get them...i've had 2 and they were awful. the worst pain ever and i couldn't keep even water down - i guess it was causing some kind of blockage or something so any time i tried to drink anything it came right back up. the first time was worse b/c i'd never had one before and i never get sick. oh, and i didn't have medical insurance. i woke up in severe pain, vomited and was like "shit there's something wrong" so i took myself to the er. saw the doctor, had to get a shot (in the ass - both times actually), took whatever they gave me for pain, and thought i was fine then (I guess because I never get sick and just didn't know how to handle it or whatever, haha), and would be fine as long as i just followed their instructions. So i left the er and on the way home stopped and got japanese take out...puked rice and cranberry juice everywhere...
