There are a number of left handed shotguns for the left shoulder that eject left.
Most seem to recommend learning to shoot left if righty/left eye dominant if you can.

If you’re going to leave a gun in a car, at the very least install a lock box in a manner that you can’t pull the box out without a football player wielding a crowbar.

IMO if bringing a gun in and out of a home is a hassle, leave it at home.

Legal question: A little over a year ago I was required to surrender my ccw pursuant to a pending DWI. The details are; I was under the legal limit and not under the influence of any other drugs. I was not in possession of a firearm at the time of arrest. I was arrested because I refused all roadside tests. The officer was a dick and the magistrate after he spoke with her still charged me. I was charged with open container (empty mini found in the back passenger side.) and DWI. All charges were dismissed by the D.A.

Do I have to retake the safety course and reapply as if I’m starting new or is there a way to have my permit reinstated?

I have tried to call the permit office several times with no luck because of increased volume so just tossing it out to see if any of the TDub ccw instructors are still here that may know.

go fill out the paper work online and see if they will accept your renewal. you can check with your lawyer. But if it expires you have to take the class again. they do allow you to request an extension on expiration so maybe look into that.

right now nothing, but optics put pressure on congress. if they remove the filibuster they can prob get somethings through. Not many pro Gun Dems, but the WV senator could get things at 51 instead of 50-50 tie. As long as they need 60 votes 99.9% nothing get through.

now the ATF can do more. They have always been back and forth on AR pistols and from what i've seen that was used in the shooting. looking at what they did to bump stocks. ATF looking at 80% lowers also.

If they ever did get something through it would go to the courts.

Aero stuff is solid. either complete lower or stripped. I also like the American Defense MFG lower. the "stripped" belms pretty cheap for what you get, and have a sweet ambi bolt catch release, it comes with the mag and bold catch installed so not fully stripped. there are some awesome deals on Geissele's triggers on Optics planet and Primary arms

I’ve built a number of Aero Ar15s and have never had any problems. I just picked up a M5 matched set for an AR10 build.



Also as a follow up from earlier on this page: a 350grn projectile moving at 1700 fps from a 47-70 will only leave small divots on chain hung steel at 30 yards.

you can form 1 your "pistol" and bascally get an SBR without paying $200 tax stamp.

they updated the eforms website to add a braced pistol submission i think. you have 120 days from Jan 31st to register free your braced pistol or you are a felon $10,000 fine and pound you in the ass federal prison for10 years. Otherwise you have to remove the brace and/or destroy.

Only issue is if you have a trust you needed to have added your pistols to your trust before the rule went live Jan 31st.

you can still do the free tax stamp, but you have to do it as an individual and if you want to add to trust you have to pay 200 bucks to transfer to your trust. but basically once approved you can add a stock or keep the brace.
