You're such a loser. Do you ever say anything helpful?

Your sad attempts of trying to troll are so funny... which is why you're such a joke on this website.

wedding is saturday. i think i only lost 2 lbs.

anyway, i was 119 yesterday with shoes et al. guess i'll find out thursday if the "corset bra" is any more bearable.

i've been trying to run 20-30 minutes a day (plus walking), but i've only been able to do it 3-5 times a week. and i've done various 20-30# weight pulls (lats, rowing, etc). but i can't play pool when i tear my arms up, so i have to take lots of reps with low weights.

DAMNIT!!!! i still look shitty naked.

hope you're having more luck, kiwi

there is definitely more to it than that. if you go into it with that mindset, you might get SOMETHING out of it, but it won't be what you should.

and you are at greater risk of getting hurt (via bad form, bad muscle imbalances, etc)

[Edited on June 5, 2007 at 12:46 PM. Reason : ^ again, get in the gym. hit the weights!]

For at-home things to do, you can do calisthenics.

I've had a lot of experience with calisthenics. Calisthenics can be just as effective in providing the majority of benefits strength training does.

Exactly. He's just a douche that is so unhappy w/ his life, he has to attack a thread w/ people discussing their weight... That's a sad sad person.

In any case, since this topic is about losing weight, I am going to try the things you've said at home. Thanks so much Kiwi!

I'm glad I have a personal trainer because he shows me how to do it properly. it's very important to have the right technique, otherwise you can hurt yourself. a video may not be a bad idea if youre sure to mimic their stances.

Yeah I might look on ebay and see what they have available. Ebay is my hero. A video is a good idea 'cause I don't want to pay for a personal trainer... but yours sounds amazing.

He is, and he's a damn fine specimen too, let me tell you. haah

I've got nicer legs, arms, shoulders than most skinny girls, soon my tummy will be too once that flab is gone. Muscle tonage is the way to go.

yeah, bodyweight exercises aren't the end-all for what i want, but they aren't to be discounted.

i think the pull-up is one of the greatest exercises ever...it's right up there with the bench press and squat.

when that picture was taken, i had a pull up bar that i did 100-150 pull ups on every day.

Buy a Shape or Fitness magazine gal, they have lots of exercises you can do at home geared for women. One note said use one of those restraining rubberbands. Can't think of their technical name, but they add resistance that a normal dumbbell can't. Coupled with weight it does amazing things for your body.

If I were to buy some at home exercise equipment I'd get one of those inflatable balls, that resistance rope, maybe that half moon platform thing to work on balance, and a dumbbell that can increase in weights. Maybe a video or two to keep me focused.

Time to get strict again. I seem to be having more "mistake" days lately. Maybe because it's been close to 6 months of dieting and i'm a social bad eater? Keep on fighting, just picture that super toned body.

I'll have 10 days to batton down the hatches, no work to sway me. Omz

Sure as hell does.

I guess I shouldn't feel too bad because I exercised for 11 hours Saturday AND Sunday, but my body never feels good after a bad eat and I certainly didn't lose any weight this weekend.

These last fifteen or so pounds are going to fight to stay around.

you should drop your goal of losing 50 pounds...
and make eating healthy and exercising a lifestyle and not part of a short term goal

Well It depends on how much you way before you start dieting. If he wayed 250 pounds and was 5'10 then he has more weight to lose vs someone who is 210 and is 5'10. Also it depends on the amount of cardio that he does and what he eats.

I got two major compliments today

One girl said "Wow karen you're looking really good, I mean you're getting thin. Sign me up!"

The other, who was standing there, said; "Oh yeah Patrick said something about that the other day, he was like 'If Karen keeps doin' what she's doin' she's gonna turn into a little hottie!'"

I was allllll smiles. That right there is motivation. My insides feel wonderful, can't wait for the outsides to catch up!!

Oh hell yeah!

It's a competition going on at work. 16 weeks, and everybody puts in a dollar a week. There are about 10 folks doing it. The largest losers, male and female, split the pot.

Each week the biggest losers (again, male and female) for the week gets a pin-on tag that says so.

I've worn the tag a total of two weeks.

I've lost 12 lbs since mid May. I've given up drinking and fried foods and the weight literally is falling off.

I've been meaning to make a pullup bar for my house. Would be a good addition to my existing workout on the cheap.

I ought to get up and go swimming every morning. Damn Pamlico River is right out the front door.

Thinking about maybe finding a kayak, but I know jack shit about them. And I have more important things to pay for right now.
