how do you get to the multiplayer?

is it through the in game menu?

i dont remember there being an option for it on the start screen

btw, how many freaking cars do you have to steal for Brucie before the mission is over? I just stole the car that the cops already had pulled over. i'm sick of running from the internet cafe to the car park to the car to steal, repeat.

it's just like 10 or so. maybe 15. not a whole bunch. but I do agree, having to keep going back to the internet cafe is annoying.

I can also capture the footage if you don't have a capture card if someone wants to get a multiplayer game going sometime...

finally got all of brucie's cars. it seems like the game is sort of slowing down. i just walked around for like 15min w/ no word of a mission. i called everybody in the phone book, too. do i just wait or what?

i notice wheni save it, i'm still on mission "logging on" and the number of completed missions hasnt gone up yet. maybe i need to go check me email again. I did get the text from brucie saying im done though.

just experienced another cool new addition to the realism of GTA IV. I slammed into a dumpster with my car and the engine died and started smoking. Niko kept on saying "I hope you start up!" (was in the middle of a police chase) and using the same method as hot wiring a car I tried starting it back up but failed....had to find a new car. Never had that happen before, thought it was a pretty neat addition.

^^^^I think the best current GTA4 + PS3 deals are at Kmart and Sears. Both are offering a $50 gift card when you buy both. Also, I think Best Buy is giving a free Blu-ray bluetooth remote when you buy them together. Have fun.

If I were you I'd get the $50 gift card and turn around and buy a Dual Shock 3 with it.

Rockstar really did pick a shitty day/week to release the game if they were going for record smashing numbers. Between exams and ^^, they should have waited another couple weeks. Not that it won't smash records anyway, but it could have been much bigger.

I like the little added bits of realism as well, primarily cars not suddenly bursting into flames every time that you beat them up or flip them over.

I really like the blood on the car when you hit someone.

^yeah, i really do like the fact that cars don't explode because they rolled over and are upside down or on their side.

Also another thing with cars exploding that I noticed was that if a car is on fire it doesn't always explode after the same set time. I had a cab parked on fire in the engine bay for a good 2-3 minutes and it still hadn't exploded until i shot it up (since the cops were behind it).

I've also been able to drive around for a minute or two on fire.

That's gotta be one of my least favorite additions. It's awesome when you're just fucking around, but it really sucks when you're on a mission and you hit something and fly out of the car and lose the mission because of it.

Like I said earlier in the thread, I wish you could put on your seatbelt to prevent that from happening. It would still be totally optional, but in times where you know you don't want to be thrown out, it would be awesome to have that as an option.

I'm puzzled as to why the included the addition of motorcycle helmets while at the same time letting you drive drunk whenever you feel like it.

I think it would be cool if the cops used tasers or pepper spray instead of guns if you were under 2 stars and weren't flashing a gun.

i do like that the cops don't fire at you until you fire at them first or have a gun out.

also you don't have to put on a helmet. if you drive off as soon as you get on he won't have a helmet on. And i never played SA so i don't know if this was part of it...but i do like the ability to go on 'dates' on a bike and she rides behind you. I hate having to give up a bike just because a passenger won't get on it.

^^ to make $500 in 2 days you need make ~$31/hr. That is completely reasonable and not much more than I make right now (I'm not fulltime -- more like 30-35 hours a week -- so I'm not salaried).

Though in the NC market that is REALLY good for someone right out of school.

I don't mind the helmet, I just thought that a safety feature like that was a bit odd while they let any kid with GTA4 gets too see how awesome drunk driving is.
