So maybe the island is "moved" when the Oceanic 6 are on the freighter and that is why the other survivors are trapped on the island... because it can't be found again. And maybe Charlie telling insane Hurley that they need his help is because the soldiers are still on the island trying to kill them?

What about all the other survivors that are on the freighter, though?

it was a typical part 1 to a season finale.. sets up the big episode. i thought it was good, though.

Ben was communicating to Richard via the mirror.

Richard and the rest of the "others" are going to ambush Keemy at the Orchid.

I think Richard may be Jacob.

Yeah - Richard has been one of my favorite/most intriguing characters on the show since he first came out as second in command of the others. And what are the chances the boat actually blows? Maybe thats how Jin ends up dying. Personally I thought this episode was going to end with Keemi with a gun to his head just to set up the HOLYSHITBOATSABOUTTOEXPLODE moment, but I'm sure that will happen soon. And yeah - I am really interested to see how everyone ends up back together, though really the only one we would need to question is Sun (Sayid, Jack, Kate, Hurley are all heading towards each other). I hope its not something stupid like "There is too much weight on the copter, we wont make it to the boat" and sawyer jumps out. You know hes going to make some sacrifice for the Six, but that would be lame.

^ Yeah - Richard is the one who came and visited Locke throughout his life and also met Ben when he was a young kid.

Jin doesn't die, don't yall remember him buying that panda bear rushing to a hospital, but not to go to Sun (or was that some weird time difference camera work shit)

did you even watch that episode?

it wasn't "some weird time or camera shit", it was simple misdirection. They showed Jin in the past, and Sun in the future. That's it.
All we know is that Jin didn't make it off the island with the rest of the Oceanic 6. We don't know if the other people all died or are still on the island or are somewhere else

So it WAS some weird time difference shit then

Misdirection...past...future...

How could I bring it up but not have watched the episode?

I figured at that time that in the future he goes back to being Sun's dad's bitch or something

no, it wasn't "weird time difference shit". When you're talking about Lost, "weird time difference shit" is when Desmond time-travels between 1996 and 2004, not when they take two separate events and edit them in a way to confuse the viewer

The thing with Sun and Jin was simply misdirection - there was not supposed to be anything mystical or weird about it.
I was asking if you watched the episode because by the end, it was perfectly clear what had happened, and that the audience had been fished-in by some simple editing tricks, but there was nothing "weird" going on in the show

episode was horrible. no content at all, hardly anything to do with the current storylines.

here's what went down (same shit for the last 4 seasons):
- hurley is afraid of the numbers and doesn't want his money
- sun hates her father
- jack, sawyer, kate run through the woods
- ben hasn't been telling the truth, but all he tells us is that he hasn't been telling the truth
- people with guns threaten to kill one another
- a dharma station pops up that serves some mysterious purpose, but we don't know what
- people try to get off the island on a boat

here's what they teased us with last week and then avoided:
- jack's dad
- claire going crazy
- "move the island"

things we still don't know:
- what the fuck was the dharma initiative
- what is the smoke monster
- how did a polar bear/ben end up in the desert
- why do people have visions of dead people on the island
- why do people hear voices
- why did walt appear soaking wet and speaking mumbo-jumbo
- how is Ben so well connected in the real world (money & information)
- why does widmore want Ben?
- what is the disease that desmond was so worried about at the beginning of season 2?
- why do the survivors lie about the accident and their ordeals on the island
- how does a plane from africa and a slave ship end up in the pacific
- what do the numbers actually mean
- who the hell is jacob
- what is up with claire
- why is there a disappearing cabin on the island
- who was in the coffin in last season's season finale
- what is the explanation on walt's super powers
- why did the others want walt and the other children
- why was libby in the mental hospital
- what's the deal with the time warp on the island
- why can't babies be born on the island but cancer and gun shot wounds are healed magically
- why does everyone on the island have a connection with everyone else
- 4-toed statue?
- why are supplies still being dropped on the island? if everyone wants to find the island, why not just follow the supply helicopter?
- why did eko get killed by the monster? because he was worshipping something other than the island?

personal requests
- can we have more ensign ro

^ I guess they will answer all those questions in the next episode. Or not, did you really expect them to answer any of those things in this episode when the next one is the two hour season finale? This episode was all about setting up next week, hence the last few shots showing how spread out the six are. Expect at least a few of those questions to be answered next week... but don't be surprised if nothing more then how they get off the island and why jack wants to get back are revealed.

And as for Jin dying, I'm not so sure he does but I figure at least one person is gonna die in the finale, and hes a pretty good candidate. I can't see Desmond dying before seeing Penny again, and Sawyer probably won't die either. Other then the three of them I think everyone else is too minor.

i don't expect them to answer all the questions, but they addressed nothing from last week.

i hate filler episodes and was just venting. some of the questions will never get answered (because they haven't been addressed since season two).

Add to the list:

- What's up with Adam & Eve and the two stones that Jack found?
- What about Ethan's "superhuman strength" in season 1?
- What did Locke see in the smoke monster when he confronted it?
- Who is the dude that was giving Naomi her orders and tried to convince Hurley to go to the "better" insane asylum?
- Why doesn't Richard age?
- What was Richard's interest in Locke at a young age?
- What was with the "test" he gave the 5 yr old Locke?
- Where did the original hostiles on the island come from?
- Obviously Richard has been a member of the Others longer than Ben, why is Ben their leader and the liaison to Jacob?
- What was "The Incident" that the guy referred to on the Swan orientation video?
- How is Ben able to control the smoke monster?

I don't think Desmond will die soon...we know that ben (I think) has told sayid he has to kill penny (or does ben say he will kill her himself..can't remember)

So you know desmond will have some involvement when that comes around

i don't think they will ever answer a lot of those questions...

most of them were things they probably brought up to seem mysterious, and just left hanging on purpose.

that's what is so great about this show (to me at least)

^^ Yeah I would strongly doubt it, but I wouldn't be shocked if he dies eventually. What would be sad is Ben killing Penny and Desmond dying with her as he loses his constant.

And I forgot about Michael - He's probably another strong candidate to die in the finale. Locke potentially as well, but I hope not. I have a feeling everything with Locke going on right now is leading up to him getting played by Ben yet again. Every single time he starts getting confident Ben makes him feel like an idiot.

Either way, my guess is Michael or Jin. The island might let Michael finally die since people are getting rescued, it might be good tv to have him and jin die together doing something after all their issues.

this is obvious.

The school for 'special' people is the same as milletos research that he tried to get him to join again at a later date. Which is the same as when he brought julliet to the island for milletos labs. Somehow he knew that locke was the next chosen person and tried twice to get him to come to the island. Theres an obvious tie to hinduism or maybe maybe how the dahli lama is chosen (from the podcast?). Ben is no longer the chosen one (maybe... ben could've just been fucking with us as usual) and locke is the new one. This draws a connection between richard and then later abbadon for again trying to convince Locke to go on a 'walkabout'.

what is with people getting pissed not getting answers right now!!!

There are 3 seasons left!! If you look back at the last 4 seasons, more questions have been answered in the past 12 episodes than have in the previous 3.5 seasons (of course, more have been raised, too).
Just chill out - this is going on until 2011, so there's plenty of time to get answers

It's not that I want answers now, it is that there has been no development on the questions at all. I think the episode where they discovered Adam and Eve was like the fifth episode of the entire show (whichever episode they discovered the caves), and there hasn't been a single mention of it or the two stones since then.

The writers said a long time ago that Adam & Eve were supposed to be proof to the viewers that they've known what they're doing all along. That is, by the end of the series, when "all" the questions are "answered", the viewers can look back at Adam & Eve and see that the writers weren't just making shit up as they went along. That said, it'll probably be a long time before they make any sense.

In season one, when Jack and others first moved to the caves from the beach, they found two skeletons that were 50-60 years old. One had a black stone and one had a white stone.

I can't remember if only Jack and Kate saw them, but I'm pretty sure most of the survivors aren't aware they exist.

--

SPOILERS (?)

A lot of people seem to think that the skeletons belong to Desmond and Penny, and they are supposed to be proof of time travel on the island. Sounds dumb to me.

^^ SPOILER I guess that's a possibility. As I understand, Jack currently has the two stones, it would be kinda cool if one of the last things that happens on the show is Jack giving Penny & Desmond the two stones.
