i've been running around with the AK74u and UAV jammer/extreme conditioning. i've been getting more kills but i still die like a motherfucker. i die like 15 times a game. wish i didn't suck so much at fps games lol.

unlocked the 2nd shottie (forget what it is) and have been running around with that now w/sleight of hand and extreme conditioning. that seems to work pretty well for me. i had bandolier in perk 1 (and still do for my ak74 class, but i just replaced that with a grip for the shottie.

^I'm a level 27, i really don't play with all of the guns. I have several classes i really like and stick with them. That is from my CS days where i just go out to kill and dont care about challenges.


If im close combat i've got mp5 w/ red dot, claymores, uav jammer, martyrdom

If its mid range then i use the M4 w/ red dot, RPG, stopping power, and either deep impact or last stand


then i have a sniper class if i feel up to. But yeah, i dont really try leveling up all the guns. I leveled the uzi fast, i must have been on a real role that day because usually i try and die fast and get frustrated and resort back to what i know works.

yeah, i leveled my shottie super fast and was really kicking ass earlier today but then later on i was getting my ass kicked and brining my team down. but then again, that happens with any weapon i use. maybe i just suck? hahaha.

I went on a really big tear yesterday after work for a few rounds. I was dominating so much in overgrown, sneaking up on guys and just pointing my reddot right on their head for a few seconds before i killed them so they could see it in their kill cam and know i had them good.


But then i signed back on and played a few rounds late last night after 6 beers and tried to do the same thing and completely sucked. i'd wait just a second too long and they'd move and i'd end up unloading a clip like an idiot and getting killed

i've recently got into using the G3 a lot. half the time during a mid-range to close range (15 ft) encounter the n00b will start spraying with the recoil sending his bullets everywhere while i take a few select shots to take them out. only time your fucked though is at point blank range.

For CQB maps like the ship, shipment, I like to use an M4 with a red dot, 3x stun grenades, stopping power, and steady aim.

the single player is great, but online is where it's at. and trust me, once you beat the single player, you'll jump online and might do better than you think.

I've never been a big fan of most FPS games (except maybe Red Orchestra), but I'm like 2 levels from my 4th Prestige in COD4 so it clearly is doing something right.

i got cod4 yesterday. its only $49 now new at gamestop. i played a couple hours so far single player. its pretty fun. the controls do feel really good. i actually feel like i can control this thing. and the auto 'lock on' helps

when we pass around the controller on multiplayer, one of my buddies always sucks and fucks up my Kill : Death ratio...he hardly ever ducks or checks his radar...I'm like "DUDE TO YOUR LEFT" cause all the red dots are to his left and he's like "WHERE"

there is always that one guy. i'm right in the middle of my group of friends that play. probably 3rd out of 8-10.




and one thing you have to learn along with crouching and the radar the map itself. You are coming into a game that a lot of people have had months of training and playing time. so they know what to look for and where to look. I adapted quick but i still can have a bad game or two in a row before things heat up

I was playing strike today and as the OpFor quickly w/ my RPD (w/ Extreme Conditioning) crossed that one court yard on the right part of the spawn point. Got into that little building just in time to mow down 5 marines all walking up the stairs.

I was really really off last night. I finished each round just over .500 it seemed like. I've been playing with the G3 a lot lately and i think i've been panicing in CQB. instead of pulling out my side ive shot of horribley missed rounds and just get owned. that and i missed several chances to take out whole squads at once just by being so off on my aim. I did have one bad ass round on downpour where i had the airstrike and helicopter called in less than 2 minutes into the round. I was mowing everyone down

also, if you do normal death match (no teams) it says something about match making. Is it supposed to be finding similarly skilled people for me? It seems like not. I'm a 2 rank and more often than not 6 out of the 8 are 50+...

Is there any way to limit the rank of a game?

^i dont think so. the only way would be to have a bunch of friends and run your own party games and invite who you want.


and i think its match making more in the sense of finding players with connections well enough so you won't experience any lag or drops in the game.

Is anyone else having a problem getting into games in matchmaking. I was trying to play just now and it would never find a match. I finally gave up after 15 minutes. Attempted both TDM and HQ. For some reason it does this shit to me every once and awhile and i can not figure out why.

my biggest qualm besides shitty respawning functionality, is the fact that when your opponent has last stand you do NOT get the kill if some n00b is spraying and nicks the guy.

I was playing map with the missle silos; using a ACOG G3 most the time and stealth kit MP5 the rest and had 7 assists b.c of this. Most of them were because i'd nail someone long range with the G3 and they would end up falling behind some concrete barrier crap.

^yeah you just get assist points if somebody else finishes him off...flip side you can get the same kills and make other people get assists

btw i still hate that board, or at least dont like it as much as almost every other board
