Yahoo!'s greedy ass gets burned today...DT gonna bail out crappy Sprint stock
I think Yahoo is a good buy today when the stock plummets to 22 and someone (MSFT/GOOG) will come in with another buyout offer in the next couple of weeks/months

Its plan specific, IBM's plan has all the bells and whistles so more than likely it will automatically stop at $15,500. Check your summary plan description it's in there somewhere.5/6/2008 1:40:10 PM |

Come on 401K, you can do it: Personal Rate of Return from 01/01/2008 to 05/06/2008 is -2.5%

so where's a good place to start a roth IRA
i want like completely hands off management, as i know just enough about investing to make myself dangerous
really though i just to want to set it up, and put money each month and ignore it otherwise.
should i just go through my bank (wachovia), or my 401k bank (regions/morgan keegan), or somewhere else? i've got some money left over from college in a smithbarney account, should i just move it to a ira account? 5/7/2008 3:11:19 PM |

^^vanguard, fidelity, franklin templeton are all pretty good choices. Try to find a Target Date fund close to the approximate date you'll retire. The fund managers adjust the asset allocation as the fund ages to make it appropriate for your risk tolerance. 5/7/2008 3:23:24 PM |

made a 90 on the series 7 without reading the book. Dont believe the hype i smoked a "six hour" test in two hours with no sweat off my sac and I know nothing about securities.
Just for luck i decided to test my skills on some open market trading following my fresh performance.
I sold 30 shares of IWN at $69.86 (closed at 68.22)
I purchased 28 shares of OIL at $73.01 (closed at $74.03)
I put $60 on Dwight Howard +33.5 points and rebounds (32 total, barely lost)
I put $60 on Jameer Nelson +7.5 vs Chauncey Billups pts + assists. Chauncey scored 2 points before leaving with an injury 5 minutes into the game.
I put $60 on Rashard Lewis -3.5 vs Tayshaun Prince. Rashard posted a career high 33 playoff points for the win.
I put $200 on there not to be a bigger than 17.5 point lead in the Lakers-Jazz game. The Lakers closed the first up 15 and bearhugged the threshold for the next three quarters before the Jazz settled into a ~10 point loss.
Summary: Professional licenses are okay for simpletons but you should really focus your attention on sports betting.
