The cavs have arrived in durham and are ready for their matchup against the UNDEFEATED Duke Blue Devils. In a controversial statement released earlier, Al Groh said "if we don't get shot or raped, we'll be ready for the devils."

Good game Halo, Wake Forest was just no match for the speed and intensity of Florida State. We came out and just couldn't handle the pressure of playing at Doak. Several early turnovers and the game was over. There was one fumble by Josh Adams that was returned for a touchdown, but Adams was clearly down before the ball came out, however, replay wasn't available. The score should have been much, much worse, but FSU did nothing but run the ball the entire second half, good move by Bowden. We have a lot of work to do if we are going to be competitive during the ACC season.

For some reason it is showing that I reported you, which I know I did not. I don't know how that got there. You clearly played very sportsmanlike.

It appears that everyone has finished.

Nice game HaLo, and good sportsmanship, running it the entire second half. I like to hear that about the players from our league.

BTW, who is writing this weeks preview?

Final Score from Tallahasse. Florida State 34, Wake Forest 6.

Key Stats
Total Offense:
Wake - 118
FSU - 281

Rushing Yards
Wake - 3 (on 13 rushes)
FSU - 160 (on 34 rushes)

Turnovers
Wake - 4
FSU - 0

Florida State dominated both sides of the ball in this one. The stingy defense forced 4 turnovers, including 1 fumble returned for a Touchdown. Both Smith and Pressley got plenty of touches in the backfield this game, both players are strong and elusive runners. The young Florida State offensive line played well and look to have gained much needed experience heading into the meat of ACC play.
Wake Forest threw and interception on the first drive and was unable to mount much offense. On a bright note for WFU, S. Swank kicked two field goals from long yardage, one being a 54 yarder.

Week 5 Update (all ACC games highlighted)

ACC Preview:
11 ACC Teams play this week. Georgia Tech has the lone off week this week, which hopefully provides the team and fans an opportunity to recover from last weeks exciting final minutes in thier win against Miss. St. Wake Forest dropped 6 spots in the polls this week to #24. Florida State has taken over the #22 spot, their first week in the top 25. Miami is also in the top 25 this week as #20 and Clemson moved up 1 spot to #8.

Games:
Navy (2-2) at Wake (2-1)
USF (2-1) at NCSU (2-2)
FCS-E at BC (1-2)
UNC (3-0) at Miami (3-0)
UVA (2-1) at Duke (3-0)
UM (3-1) at Clemson (4-0)
Colorado (2-1) AT FSU (3-0)
VT (2-2) at Nebraska (2-1)

Off Week:
GT (4-0)

ACC Previews: [all games being covered by your local regional affiliates]
UNC (3-0) at Miami (3-0)
Miami is hosting this battle of undefeated teams this week. Both teams are playing excellent defense this year, while Miami has the slight statistical edge in the offensive department. Both teams are at full strength this week, this is easily the ACC game of the week, be sure to tune in to your Raycom station to catch this game.

Navy (2-2) at Wake (2-1)
Expect Wake Forest to come back home ready to run a higher powered offense. The team ranks in the bottom of the country in all offensive categories. They need to get the ship righted before next weeks home game against the high octane Clemson Tigers.

USF (2-1) at NCSU (2-2)
This is a key game for the 2-2 Wolfpack. This game could position the Wolfpack to make a run toward a bowl bid. They face an extremely difficult schedule late in the season with games against FSU, the surging Duke Blue Devils, Wake Forest and UNC. NC State is running a solid offense and the defense has been working very well. Total team defensive yards is 25th in the nation. USF has one starter out for the game, WR C. Mitchell, this will give Junior Quarterback Matt Grothe limited options to throw to.

FCS-E at BC (1-2)
Boston College is looking to get back to playing five hundred ball this season. This week they take on FCS-East at home. This should be no test for Boston College's highly ranked defense, the offense is hoping to get out of the cellar in terms of yardage and points. Boston College has to turn around their turnover differential story this year if they want to be in the middle of the ACC, -7 in this department (#118 in the nation) is not going to win many football games. YO!

UVA (2-1) at Duke (3-0)
Both teams are playing top 10 nationally defense this year. Duke looks to keep momentum alive as they play their first ACC test, while UVA hopes to score more points than week 3s 20-7 road win to UConn. The winner of this game will be playing a bowl game in December. The loser is going to be on the hot seat

UM (3-1) at Clemson (4-0)
Maryland travels to the hostile Memorial Stadium to face CJ Spiller and the fast Clemson offense. Maryland's linebacking core will be severly tested this week as Spiller hopes to improve his Heisman hopes this week. Maryland is suffering from two injuries, one to thier 3rd wide recieved Danny Oquendo, the other to backup FS Antwine Perez.

Colorado (2-1) AT FSU (3-0)
FSU is hoping to continue thier 3 game win streak at home as Colorado comes to town. Florida State has given up a total of 3 rushing yards in 3 games, and have an impressive turnover differential of 13. Colorado travels east after losing last week to #5 West Virginia 17-43. It doesn't look like week 5 will be better.

VT (2-2) at Nebraska (2-1)
Virginia Tech travels to Big 12 country to take on the 2-1 Cornhuskers. Virginia Tech wants to turn around from two early season ACC losses. Statistically the teams are matched; however Nebraska will be playing without thier star running back Marlon Lucky who is out for 8 weeks with a high ankle sprain.

Selected Top 25 Action:
#6 Wisconsin (3-0) at Michigan (2-1)
Saturday afternoon Wisconsin and Michigan start Big 10 play. Homefield advantage could come into play in this one as Wisconsin is without either of their two centers. This could cause many communication problems in the hostile Michigan environment.

#14 Tennessee (3-0)(1-0) at #17 Auburn (3-1)(1-1)
Auburn is coming off an impressive 31-14 win against LSU last week. UT is also coming off a quality win against Florida 41-17. Auburn's defense will need to lead thier team to victory and stop the Tennesse offense from scoring often.

when asked whether or not the heisman hype is true, Clemson star half back CJ Spiller simply replied, "Eis Aner, Oudeis Aner" which translated from Greek means, "One man is no man."

BC 38-0 at the half

im keeping the starters in at least for a bit

^^nice writeup and haha yeah my TO diff is pathetic

66-0 BC after 3...im going to let my first team defense finish up this drive and then mass sub the O and D

and FCS East breaks away for a 42 yard TD pass to get on the scoreboard, 66-7 with 4:49 left in the 4th...mass substitution time for Boston College

Colarado picks off FSU's first play from scrimmage and runs it back for a TD.

7-0 Colarado

FSU marches right back down and scores on a 45 yard pass to Parker to tie the game

FSU's defense finally stiffens and picks off a pass and returns it 89 yards for a touchdown.

21-14 FSU

Final Score:

Boston College: 80
FCS East (Rhode Island): 7

      1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final
FCS 0 0 0 7 7
BC 10 28 28 14 80

BC bounced back to .500 with their second win in as many weeks, this time over FCS East. It was much easier this week for the Eagles than last week's triple overtime thriller, as they scored on their first possession and never looked back. They were held to a field goal on their second possession, but after that they scored every drive. BC's defense picked up in the 3rd quarter where they got pick 6 interceptions on 2 straight Rhode Island possessions. FCS East's lone score came early in the 4th quarter as BC was about to put in their 2nd stringers. The Eagles face the Wolfpack of NC State next week before getting their 2nd bye week of the season in week 7.

notable stats:

Total Offense
BC: 390
FCS: 118

Rushing
