why do some people feel their entitled to always be as good if not better than unc/duke?

i mean, everyone wants to be good, but some people act like its a birthright based on events from more than 25 years ago.

Even though I think he basically admitted defeat on the challenge to compete with our rival schools when he left NC State, as a person, Herb is a good guy. I liked and still like him ... as a person. Despite our fan base constantly being shit on for "driving away" such a "great coach" by media members who are too dull to find an original story line, I was really rooting for an Arizona State victory today. In short, Herb's strategy and his team's play reminded me why I got tired of him as the NC State coach. Herb's inflexible strategy consistently relies on lights out 3-point shooting versus teams of similar or superior talent. This was even more glaring against Syracuse's zone defense.

Here is another vote for searching for a real winner, at the risk of a string of real losers, versus settling for proven mediocrity.
