how did you get into bartending, and if it was something I was interested in where would be a good place to start?

one of my roommates worked at Ruckus for like 2-3 years and never got out of the kitchen, my lifestyle doesn't exactly work at 8$/hr plus food tips

^i mostly waitress now. i've been working in restaurants and bars for like 8 years so...barbacking is a good place to start. it helps with the learning process. i don't think going to bartending school really matters at all. it's more about just knowing drinks and being able to get them out to people - also having a personality

^^^driven after drinking...drunk i'd say no. what exactly do you consider drunk though? (if you're going by cop standards, i used one of those breathalyzer things they give you as a precaution - the ones you break or whatever - one night when i knew i shouldn't be driving and it didn't register me as over the limit...that's no good - i didn't drive, though)
