That is kinda weird that they don't announce it. You'd think that if they are trying to recruit people they would let everyone know. Do they just expect people to be randomly applying all the time and some of them just so happen to do so when the window is open?

I know, but they used to announce it on our Universe page. I think they did away with that because they are trying to cut down on paying the extra $$$ for the referral bonus

All I have been able to dig up in the forum is that they closed registration on May 6th at 11AM. No heads up on when they will be opening it again. Apparently there was also a problem with the tests this go round. Some type of glitch. So it may take some time to get a response back to know if you got hired or not.

My friend took his test and then it was like 2.5 weeks he hadn't heard anything, he wrote them 2 times and they finally wrote back and said he would hear shortly. It took a while but he got accepted

I thought I would throw this out there because I am interested in the response. What is the quickest you have answered a question? I just knocked one out in 17 seconds. I had the answer to the question already saved in my clipboard so all i had to do was find the source. What's your best so far?

probably 15-20 seconds, i dono. during the NCAA tournament I got questions about the line all the time and had it already pasted in Word to copy and had the source tab open the whole night. But that was kinda out of the ordinary and won't happen often prob.

I'm going to pay a lot more attention to that. I know I answer most questions at around 1:30-2:00. But when I get a string of the same question (hockey scores or American Idol results) I will open up the notepad and cut/paste my answer in there. Then I just leave the website that I sited open as well. When I get that question again, it's just a cut/paste and a site. Easy money.

There is a source that they give you on the quicklinks page that you can use whenever you get a "conversational" question. I got one last night that asked me "Who do you want to win American Idol?" I just gave my opinion and linked to the AI homepage.

I also have a theory that ChaCha really only checks accuracy when you are relatively new. Because my first month or so I was below 100% on accuracy. Shit, my first week I was like 78%. But for the past 2 months I have been 100% every week. And I know for a fact there were some answers I gave that were just flat out wrong.

Maybe once you have answered a certain amount of questions they just stop checking up on you, or at least REALLY slack off about it.

There is no penalty for Declining Specialist questions. There is a penalty for Aborting and just bailing on a Question (by internet error or closing your browser). You will get faster as you do more. Right now I answer almost every question in under a minute. It takes time.

Non-Famous lookups are the WORST thing ever. I took DJE's advice a while back and have been doing them this way ever since:
You can either A) Look up whitepages.com or do a Pipl/Facebook search and just do something like "Manbearpig appears to be living in Raleigh, North Carolina and loves Rock music. Is this him?"
or
(what I do)
B) when neither of those come up, say "I'm sorry, but I couldn't find a listing for Manbearpig. Can you give me some more information about him? ChaCha!"
Simple, easy, doesn't waste your time, quick cents.

they're very boring, but easy. its only about an hour of videos. The ones you only really need to pay attention to in depth are the ones that show you how to use the Guide Console interface.. so u know how to do the job.
