what idiot decided it would be a good idea to add an extra day between games 1 and 2, then set the tipoff at the exact same time and day as the NHL finals game 5?!

fucking A, its bad enough that we only have a limited amount of NBA and NHL games left before the boring summer of baseball begins, but now they have to show both games at the same time so its basically impossible to enjoy both games. the alternating gamedays was working great. I get in NBA mode on thursday, enjoy the game before bed - then I get to watch the NHL finals on Friday night. Perfectly spaced out so we can have something to look forward to.

Now what do we have? the Indians vs. White Sox game on WGN tonight? that actually works for me since I am an indians fan, but its not for everyone else.

I'm blaming this all on the NBA as well, they added the extra day to throw the balance off. The NHL has been doing alternating days all playoffs

The problem is that you're treating the NHL playoffs like they are better than baseball. They aren't. They are just as boring and /care. NBA playoffs are the only thing worth while till football starts back up.

look, I love baseball, and I would say that I probably like baseball more than I like hockey during the regular season (even though its pretty close) but to say that the Stanley Cup Finals are as boring as a regular season baseball game is incredibly wrong. I dont care if its your opinion they really arent in the same ballpark (pun intended).

The NHL playoffs are the second most exciting playoffs in all of sport - right behind the NFL.

yeah Powell is one of those players that Karl Malone or Charles Barkley talked shit about a few years ago. They dont play more than a games worth of minutes all season, but still get to wear a ring, while players like Malone and Barkley bust their asses and are the face of a franchise, but dont ever win a championship

dont worry Pierce will do one of two things:

1- fake an injury, make it sound like he wont be able to play in the rest of the playoffs, but then will miraculously be fine and start game 3, causing the crowd to go apeshit

2- finally start making a few shots and start talking shit everytime he makes a shot like hes some kind of badass or something

i hated that the lakers and celtics made the finals because i hate them both. but i find myself rooting for celtics. i hate kobe too much, and i think i've fallen in love with rondo over these playoffs. plus i can't help but root for the old geezers that no one gave a chance to.

Kobe is the third best player in this series. Forgettable game, the Lakers squandered absolute brilliant performances from Gasol/Bynum.

Pierce/Garnett look OLD. They almost squandered herculean effort from Rondo and a smoking hot Ray Allen.

Eh, I don't think the Celts can sweep at home so they've gotta get 2 of 3 and then steal the championship in LA. That's a tall task for any team, they've got the resolve to do it but maybe not the size or youth. Thank god they didn't blow this one though.
