Pitkanen's play was a game changer. I know we weren't looking good before or after that play, but after that play I stopped watching. Killed any hope I had of us winning that game. When he's on, he's really good, but he's not worth 4.5 million.

At least ATL lost too, need to get a win on Saturday.

looking at the replay of the 3rd goal, right after cam's amazing wasted save, and boychuk needs to buy dinner for the whole team, or at least cam and his extended family

while out of position, he not only whiffed at the slow pass coming directly at him, but allowed the puck to go right through his legs to versteeg, who was mysteriously wide open at the side of the net

I have been very wishy washy with Joni over the last couple of years and thought he was a good player even though a lot of people hated on him. But after the play he made last night, as well as the play he made 3-4 games before the allstar break where he left the goal-mouth wide open and allowed a goal to be scored so he could double team a player behind the goal, is unacceptable. He is getting paid to be our best defensemen and at this point Corvo and Gleason are lightyears ahead of him.

He seems to have a decent reputation around the league, I would love to see us get rid of Pitkanen and bring in a couple solid young defensemen
