I really hope our ST will be a weapon for us this year. In college football, there are so many games lost on ST you wonder why there is not more emphasis on recruiting the best kickers and punters from the big schools (well maybe there is and it just never gets any pub).

Just happy to hear we may have a good kicker and punter for the next 4 years.

I'm not saying that Liberty can't push us, as they do return most of the stat-monsters on the team, but the rest of the team is all new. Football is won in the trenches and they are replacing both DEs and 4 off of the O-line. And all 3 linebackers? Even if Liberty were a D-1A team in a BSC conference, that would be hard to bounce back from in one year, especially first game of the season.

I initially thought Liberty would be a tougher than usual 'creampuff,' but the loss of all those players makes me rethink that a little.

To the Liberty fans: We, as fans, might be overconfident, but we are overconfident because we KNOW that our coach and our players are not. TOB never overlooks opponents.

Also, the LU star is a mobile qb. he has been compared to RW, the very player who the defense has spent the last 3 years practicing against. If it were another Div-1A team that LU were playing, he might shock them enough to do real damage. State will be ready and waiting for him.

I found some of the old rules (posted 2002).. I don't know if they still adhere to them. Things like no hats/shorts on campus, no non-Christian music, no movies R, NC-17 or X, no physical contact other than handholding, etc.

I should really hope that they don't still adhere to these rules.

The Liberty Way is still the rule there, as far as I know. I know people in Lynchburg that didn't go to Liberty and the school is still as insufferable as ever.

Their Biology Dept. still adheres to a young earth creationist ideology.
