I say that all the time. How'd you know?

Clarity: I am NOT saying that TOB got rid of RW in favor of a white QB MG, I'm saying that many people in the fanbase aren't capable of overcoming the racial aspect to side with a black kid when a white coach makes a mistake. Most of you are delusional enough to think TOB is a good coach and not capable of making terrible decisions.

Hopefully the clown shoes bullshit will be over now, unless he flops miserably at Wisconsin, which would be good for us.

The fact is the kid has just ruined any chance he had at a career in pro baseball (which wasn't much, but did EXIST) for a middling shot at a pro football career, and he's either getting bad advice or ignoring people who know better.

Jaybee you know what would be hilarious

Wait like 12-18 hours after an NC State loss

Then show up in the game thread

And be like

Hey what was the score yesterday, I missed the game

PRETEND LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED

Do that like 3-4 times a season

He was batting like .200. He had no shot at MLB, never really did. Do you have any idea of the % drafted that make an mlb roster? He was going to spend the next few years making 20k to play A and maybe make it up to AA or AAA if he got his batting % up.

he should have went to Auburn, he would make more than that in one year

^^ sorry I don't get sports south carolina or VS. there Matlock. Figured an NC State board is the best place to get the lowdown, crazy idea I know.

Explain to me how he's "ruined his chances" at playing baseball? Baseball is a sport where you can play at any age. Football is way more age and college oriented to succeed. I wish him the best at Wisconsin and am really glad to have the big ten network.

Before someone says Josh Hamilton, he was the #1 overall pick

Wilson is flirting with the Mendoza Line in single-A

[Edited on June 27, 2011 at 2:56 PM. Reason : someone could take a flyer on him, but there are probably contract stipulations in the way of that]

In other news, has anyone ever seen the beggers at the top of the 40 west exit ramp to Harrison Avenue in Cary? One is a dead ringer for TOB. I haven't had the balls to photograph him yet.

I just watched the CFL press conference, they used the exact same stock photo of Raleigh that they do with Bomani Jones on ATH.

They are right about that though. They were already Big 10 title contenders and now they have a huge upgrade at QB.

Pretty shotty analysis but...

Quote :
"Russell Wilson is Fools Gold

This afternoon, on College Football Live on ESPN, former NC State QB Russell Wilson will come on and potentially make his decision on where he is going to play this season.

Wilson was drafted by the Colorado Rockies last summer and he was let out of his scholarship by NC State. Though he is currently playing baseball in the minors for Class A Asheville (N.C.), Wilson has one more year of eligibility in the NCAA.

Today, he is supposed to make his decision between football and baseball as he promised weeks ago that he would make a decision before July 1.

It would seem that Wilson is choosing to play one more year of football. It would also seem that Wilson is going to play at Wisconsin or Auburn.
Either way, I still have one question, WHO CARES?!

Russell Wilson is a 5-11, 190 lbs, mediocre at best QB, who averages only 3 yards per carry. Russell Wilson is nothing special, and with all of the hardships that will come with changing systems, has little chance of excelling this season. Still, much of the college football world is on the edge of their seat, awaiting Wilson's decision.

It's pretty intense that this guy is going on national television to announce his decision. Granted, he is not having a special called "The Decision" but considering how low level he is compared to LeBron James, it's still over-the-top.

I think this just proves how much America loves football. All morning, people have been talking about the NFL Top 100 players list, which is fairly irrelevant. Now, we are in a frenzy about a QB's decision when that QB has little or no chance of leading a team to a championship. I don't think people care about how mediocre Russell Wilson is, I think they care about a somewhat interesting football story. On that note: The NFL needs to end the lockout. America has proven that we still love the football and the NFL considering all of the worthless things we are talking about because of the lockout. Give me something else to think about other than the lockout or players getting arrested, like free agents. Do the right thing and end the lockout, that way, Russell Wilson will no longer be a story."

I hear RW is really disappointed with the BCS not letting him compete for the National Championship this coming season. Apparently they first want his team to participate in 12 games, win them all, win the conference championship, and have a high enough ranking to be #1 or #2 in the nation... RW is not sure he can do all that, but he just can't believe that they are denying him the opportunity to "compete"

Hopefully he'll be able to get bigger exposure than he got here at NC State, especially with how we were trying to put out his image of being an amazing example of a true student-athlete and stand up guy

he is a good athlete and you could understand what he is saying during an interview. glad he was associated with my school. good luck to him.

also, even if he doesn't have a career in baseball or football he will still make good money doing something.

I hope so too, but it almost seems like a given. Just look at ESPN's coverage. Seems like I've heard the name "Russell Wilson" on SportsCenter more today than all of last year combined.
