Anybody figured out how to get non-GMail email to work on CM10? I'm always stuck on the 'syncing...your email will appear soon' or whatever message

I tried CM10 and a media build of KitKat this weekend, but went back to CM9 and 4.0.2 for the flash support and fully functional Netflix

All three I bought are still rocking it with CM10, and they have been used daily since the purchase. One by me and family, the second by my mom, and the third by my aunt.

Awesome tablets, glad I got the 32GB models, best $150 on technology.

But sorry, we don't use non-gmail emails, not sure what that problem is.

My tablet is also still chugging along. The body has a couple small cracks around the speakers but it's in a case and still working well. And I don't really care about the exchange email issue anymore, I just use my phone for that.

Mine has been on CM9 for ages, and still gets used daily. This is 90% of the usage:

So they have 5.1 Lollipop builds out now. Pretty crazy the dev community is still working on this 4 year old device.

I went to Best Buy before they opened on the day in 2011 that this dropped to $99. When the doors opened the folks in the line ran to the tablet section and they were all missing. I bought my first ipad instead (ipad 2).

I still have mine and it's still kicking around.

A month ago I bought a Lenovo Yoga 2 Tablet 10" Windows ($190 like-new-refurb, including the keyboard!), it's a real nice piece of gear, and it's a better complement to my HTPC and Gaming machines. Hopefully the Windows 10 upgrade makes it even more usable. But it's not really powerful enough to emulate Android games completely smoothly. Using AMI DuOS to emulate Jellybean, and it is great for puzzlers or non-graphics heavy games. However, Steam works like a champ and so do many PC games, sooooo.

I'll keep updating/using that Touchpad to the day it dies, it's that solid.

Charger / charging port started getting a little wonky so I got a cheap Touchstone on eBay. Works well, even with the 3rd party case I have on the tablet.

And hello, Marshmallow!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/hp-touchpad/development/rom-evervolv-6-0-0p1-dm-t3238427

I have yet to try it, but the recent posts make it sound like it works fine if you don't care about bluetooth, camera, or the microphone ... I'm sure they'll get it working, but I'm personally waiting on the Cyanogenmod release.

I currently have CM12.1 on my tablet and it's fine for now; just a bit of gaming, browsing, and it continues to be a very durable kiddo tablet.

This tablet is truly the little engine that could.

Just wanted to say mine is still going strong. This thing has been worth it's weight in gold. My son uses it all the time for netflix and has even started to master some of the puzzle apps I downloaded.

Ended up with that Marshmallow release from evervolv a while back, it worked well.

And now, Nougat!

Amazingly, it's smooth and works great despite the camera and bluetooth being flaky. But Netflix, etc, and games work just fine for the kids.

Over 5 years now and still chugging along.

A++++ would buy on firesale again!

Mine finally died RIP

One day it just wouldn't turn on. Yesterday I notice a the screen looked damaged so maybe the kids dropped it one too many times.

We definitely got our money's worth out of it though. Now we are using a 7" Kindle fire from like 2012. Debating on getting one of those kid versions.

^FYI the kid versions are nothing more than the regular 7 inch fire tablets but with a 2 year warranty at double the price. The 7 inchers go on sale 4-5 times a year for $40(like right now), and once or twice will drop down to $33, (usually on prime day and black friday).

At first I thought it was a rip off but then I realized the kid version was 16 GB. So instead of $80 vs. $40 it is $80 vs $60 and it comes with the case which is like $25 and has the 2 year warranty.

I still debated it because I'm not sure we need the extra storage but I think of the 8GB only 3GB is available to the user.

It's ~5.5 to the user, and it does take removable storage.
