Hahaha, dude couldn't beat out javi fucing gonzalez, good luck beating out whatever top pg sleazy calipari brings in.
I had full intentions on rooting for harrow after he left, but the more I think about all the smoke he blew up our asses, the way he was too sick to play at unc (evn though he was healthy enough to chat with reporters before the game) and now choosing to go play for one of my least favorite teams and coaches, he can go fuck himself.

I'm pretty upset about this But not upset enough to irrationally think that javi was a better pg than harrow. I'd bet he's gonna be one of the better pgs in the country in 2012.

Since we're talking about non-ncsu recruiting, UNC is adding to it's walk-on depth:

Quote :
"Luke Davis is coming home. The 6-foot point guard from Raleigh, N.C. confirmed he is transferring from Gardner-Webb to North Carolina... Davis averaged 7.2 points and 4.2 assists in 30 starts as a freshman for the Running Bulldogs. He was also named to the Big South conference All-Freshman team."

Things Harrow needs to work on to sniff the court:

-Strength
-Defense
-Shooting from deep
-Finishing in the lane
-Hitting that little floater shot that he missed at least 9000 times last year

Maybe a year on the bench does him some good. UK has the #1 PG in the nation coming in, but from what I've seen/heard, he's not a 1-and-doner. Good luck Harrow.

doesn't one kinda have to be a potential 1-and-doner to be ranked #1 at you position?

Yeah, he has the potential, but I've seen him play a few times and never been overly impressed. He's definitely not a John Wall, Derrick Rose type of player. His brother is Jeff Teague from Wake, and his game is pretty similar. Doesn't seem as athletic as Jeff, but he's better handling the ball.

[Edited on May 26, 2011 at 10:15 AM. Reason : He's also pretty small for NBA pg standards -- 6'1 165 lbs]

The only reason people "hate" him so much now is that they "loved" him so much for the past three years when he committed to State as a high school sophomore and was hailed, along with Leslie and Brown, as a savior to the program. Now, he leaves, and people are bitter and upset because they feel all the time they spent supporting Harrow since his commitment was for naught, so expressing disgust and wishing him ill will in the future is some people's way of dealing with that resentment. Personally, I find it petty and in poor taste, but this country was founded on the principles of fucking over those who fuck us over, so I understand where all the hate is coming from. I don't agree with it, but everyone has their own agenda.

Agreed. While i hate that the kid quit on us, and i hate that he's now going to kentucky, ultimately, i wish him nothing but the best.

It's stupid that people are trying to trash his work ethic, claiming he wasn't really that good, etc. Anger makes some people quite irrational.

True, he's quite cunty, and a few years back I would have joined in the bashing. But now I realize that most 19 year olds are fickle and insecure, and just because someone is very good at basketball, we shouldn't expect their maturity level to be similarly adjusted.

well not every night

but i wasnt insecure, in fact i was way too cocky

i'd expect a top notch recruit who plays a major sport to be even more full of swagger, but not Harrow

I don't wish unhappiness to Harrow.

I hope he's completely happy while he rides the pine and Kentucky chokes in the tournament every year.

But I certainly won't pull for him to win.

All Coach Calipari had to do was throw him a couple fitted hats, some neon sneakers, and something for his mama and Harrow would be sold.

so people like Julius Hodge, who is actually around the program working out and playing ball with our players are stupid? Hodge was calling out Harrow pretty much all of last season about his work ethic.

It's pretty dumb for Hodge to air that shit out publicly, especially being a pseudo-official representative of the program.

Harrow was on 620 this morning. In a nutshell the reason he is leaving is Lowe getting fired. They asked him if he could do it over again would he not have committed so early and visited more schools. He said yes, but that he still probably would have ended up at State. He's about to get a reality check with Calipari.

I think its silly for anyone to commit before their senior year. You have nothing to gain and everything to lose. Enjoy the process.

I'm calling BS on Harrow's reason. Everything I've heard said he'd be gone no matter if Lowe was here or not.

Judging by effort and body language he made his decision about halfway through the season.
