no, its volume, sheer volume is the way they make money, they do not farm anything else, and there is a rotation on a yearly basis as to the trees they sell

I was in that situation tonight, but then I said screw it and watched Shrek. I may just go to the morning service instead.

I send a fake mass text to a friend of mine on pretty much any holiday because they annoy the crap out him

pretty sure he has caught on that i'm only sending them to him but it still pisses him off so i'll just keep doing it

I echo your sentiment.

At my parents' house in Smithfield. Think I'll go downtown to my favorite bar here and proceed to drink myself into oblivion.

i am not doing super well but that's to be expected. it's only been 2 weeks since I lost my dad so that plus all the other things crumbling down around me make for not a great Christmas. Being alone doesn't help much either :p

man, that's rough..

my friend suffered the lose of her mother a month before xmas. Anyway, long story short I spent time with her and we created a new xmas tradition (we would go for a walk together and talk about whatever, usually her mom for awhile, went to the movies ate popcorn, and watched girly movies lol) so that she wouldn't have to dwell on the loss (her mom was very close to her, and very big into xmas). I know you are mourning right now, so the sadness will not subside for awhile I imagine, but sometimes making new traditions on the holidays make a positive spin on them sometimes (a lot of trial and error involved, but makes for good times), and something to look forward to! I hope you can find peace with his passing soon.

I really hope that it gets better for you.

This was probably the first christmas that didn't actually feel like christmas to me.

The worst part is when my mom cried while she was saying the blessing at dinner

Okay so someone in my generation in my family needs to get knocked up (not it)...or knock some chick up...cause we need some babies in the family to make Christmas all cheerful and exciting again!

I'm trying to decide if the relationship I'm in is really worth trying to make things work for a year and a half from 1000 miles away.

It just seems like a waste of time if I don't end up marrying her. And I'd say theres about a 7% chance of that.
