You can thank the fine people at a distribution center in Richmond, VA. It was shipped from Roanoke, VA (which is west of Richmond) so they shipped it east, then goes to Richmond, then they ship it west (on the same highway) to Charleston, WV. They prolly used more miles to ship that engine then what the engine has on it.

"Fedex just called me. They "misplaced" the engine and are "locating" it. How the hell do you loose a whole engine kit that weighs 150 pounds. It's not like its going cross country, just one state over from Virginia. I could have taken a day off work and drive up there to pick it up personally. Damnit. Good thing its insured."

I still have the helmets, now all I have left from the bike is the helmets, factory exhaust, factory windshield, and factory rear undertail fender ugly thing/ license plate mount (which I guess I'll just throw away)

helmets were only worn for less than 2000 miles, one was spare, one was primary

both have mirrored shields and I still have the factory clear shields

both helmets are larges

the cl14 sells for abour 140 or so, the ac11 goes for around 180
I'd like 75 each for them or 125 for the pair
the ac 11 has some small scratches but nothing obnoxious the cl 14 is in really good condition

^^How do you know it has 36K? I think that number isn't the milage because every vehicle on that page would then have between 35-36k?

The bikes at the state surplus all go for ridiculous prices, and it is possible the bike will not run.

everyone overbids for most stuff over there at the surplus anyhow. Like broken cars with blown engines or non-working transmission going over a 1000 bucks? sometimes 2000? for some POS chevy sedan from the early 90s?

Bike n00b question:: Can I get a motorcycle permit , buy a bike, and register/tag/insure it so I can ride it while waiting to take the course? Or must one have a full license to get tags and shit?

you don't have to have any license to tag that shit

and you don't have to take the road test ever if you don't want, you'll just be stuck with a permit

and all the permit takes is a computerized test

permits also expire in a year and a half.
don't know if you can renew a permit though, but if you could that would be more expensive than taking the test to get the endorsement.

and you could never legally have a passenger.
