for those that asked, I tore my ACL playing flag football

had surgery last Monday...ROM is already at (1-113 degrees...normal is 0-140)...I've been off crutches since last Wednesday, minimal swelling, no problems at all

PT and Ortho are impressed at how fast everything is progressing...thank God I was in such good shape before my surgery otherwise I'd be worse off now

just got home from the gym-- 30min cardio 45min weights and waking up at 4:45am to go back for more!!

yeah, I usually go at least five days a week and I hate it on my days off because I feel so lazy when I'm not sore or don't have that pump from lifting

Today was an off day. I ate a bunch, did some bodyweight stuff (pull ups, pushups, squats), stretched, and foam rolled like a mofo. I'm still sore from me full cleans yesterday.

It's all relative. I may have "alot" to some. However, I am not where I want ot be.

I used to think I couldn't gain weight. However, I didn't eat enough. I still have a problem eating enough for gaining when I get stressed out. I tend not to eat much understress/depression.

Luck has nothing to do with it. I took the time to educate myself on nutrition and training. I work on it everyday.

Is that luck? Maybe to an ignorant fat ass.


That I don't eat when I'm under stress/depression? NO. Unlucky to be delt with that genetic susceptability, maybe.

I was limited on time, so today I just did "the bear"

warm up of oh squats with the bar alone, dips, pull ups

clean and presses followed by complexes (dead to powerclean to front squat to military press to back squat to behind the neck press to front squat and repeat)

today I switched back to using dumbbells for my back rowing motions. It felt really awkward at first.

I need to start waking up early enough to get on my treadmill before work. I enjoy sleeping in too much though.

if i actually had a treadmill i'd def work out. but going to the gym is SoOoOoO much effort. and then people have to either a) see me in a bathing suit when i swim laps or b) watch me pathetically trying to run around the track or c) watch me out of breath on a treadmill that is on the lowest speed. and if i lifted a weight it would need to be like 1lb. ughhh i am disgusting. take me back like 3 years and i'd never ever let myself gooo

i know i really need to go ugh. i feel like i will die of cardiac arrest though. i need a personal trainer i wish they weren't so expensive. if i had someone to tell me what to do i'd probably be more likely to do it

I hate running. I would have preferred an elliptical, but my fiancee' prefers to use a treadmill. I figure it's for the best though, since I need to run more anyway and I can always use the ellipticals at my gym.

My personal trainer rocked but was hella expensive, wish I could somehow get the same benefit without the cost.
