I rarely run unless chased. My knees don't hold up too well at this point, though they are a lot better than they have been.

Most of my running occurs between my office and various stations in the manufacturing plant at work. I usually have so much going on that I actually break a good sweat some days.

That cardio felt good this morning but I had the triple stomach pain, woman cramps, hunger, and ab soreness from my workouts yesterday.

Thinking about getting a stability ball to do exercises at home too, increase muscle mass as much as I can without overdoing it.

im def going to start cracking down on eating way better. This stupid hypothyroidism and pcos makes it 2x as hard for me to lose the lbs though

Well I know one thing is for damn sure, if my lazy unmotivated ass can finally get off the couch and jsut say "that's enough" and lose 30lbs. in 6 months and be in the best physical shape of my life and entirely change my life forever, anyone can do it. I'm dead serious on that, any fucking one can do this, don't tell yourself any different.

^Thank you

So the exercise started last week and I'm in the process of fixing my diet.

Today I had
breakfast: bowl of oatmeal:160 calories, 2 g. fat and a tablespoon of maple syrup for taste: 50 calories
midmorning snack:1/2 bagel: 110 calories, .5 g. fat, cream cheese:45 calories, 4.5 g. fat
lunch: 1 cup green beans: 40 calories, can tuna in water (drained): 180 calories, 2 g. fat, a pack of whole grain wheat thins: 100 calories, 3 g. fat.

So my total calories are 780 and my total fat intake is 18 grams.

I know your basal metabolism require 1200 calories a day to proceed with normal bodily functions so what can I have for dinner that is around 400 calories?

Grilled chicken with a vegetable side.

I could replace some of those fatty things on tat list for you so you're eating more foods that will benefit your body more without sacrificing taste!

PLEASE Go right ahead.

And I love love love peanut butter.

Put peanut butter on it then, use all natural peanut butter. That stuff is good in moderation.

Also cut out the maple syrup, high in sugars, more than you need. Instead add real fruit like blueberries. Or cinnamon, it is a very good antioxidant which helps your heart and digestion.

Make sure the bagel is whole grain/whole wheat. I know some people who put a thin slice of salmon on their bagel, if you like fish. I don't though.

Add more little snacks so you're eating 5 or 6 times a day and don't make dinner your biggest meal.

I like whole grain stuff. Unfortunately this morning's bagel was not since I'm not at my house.

I love fresh fruit..but again......it's all at my house.

I think it's time to go grocery shopping.

The fresh fruit is a good idea. I know fresh is best but I have some frozen to use.

I was shocked at how many calories I've had today with the small amount I've eaten. No wonder I've easily gained ten pounds since last year.

I read somewhere that frozen is just as good because they freeze it when the fruit reaches it's ripeness. I don't like the taste of raspberries thawed or else I'd be all about that. Go ahead and try frozen fruit, it'll help with finances. I just love fresh items though.

I was eating close to 3000 calories a day, no problem. It's incredible.

If you can't find fresh, frozen is indeed the way to go. Much better than canned. Like by several orders of magnitude.

I still cheat and have lost 29lbs. It's ok in moderation, I wouldn't be sane if i didn't have a few of my favorite foods every so often. But if you eat that junk everyday three times a day what's the fun in it? I enjoy those bad foods more just because I only have them every once in a while.

Anyway, don't lose hope, don't kick yourself for being bad' just keep moving forward. Yay for getting healthy!

I was at the salon last week and I read something along the lines of one teaspoon of soy sauce (the amount of sodium in it) will cause you to gain one pound of water weight.

That's the suck.

Nothing wrong with olive oil.

I'm sure you could find a healthy substitute, just read the nutrition labels on everything.

^mmm E-V-O-O as Rachel Ray calls it.

Whole wheat, and tiny. If you must. skip the butter unless it's Smart Balance, that's what I use when I just need to have tat buttery goodness.

Make the veggies the biggest portion, then a small chicken, and tiny tiny biscuit.

How did you make the arm jiggle away? That's the only thing I really can't figure out how to get rid of, and I refuse to have jiggle arms in my wedding dress.

I guess it really depends on where you lose weight first because you can't necessarily target an area of fat. However, you can tighten the muscles, and possibly the arm, by doing those types of exercises. Biceps, triceps, AND shoulders. Things like push ups, shoulder presses, tricep presses all work. My arm muscles are huge now and I still have jiggle but I guess more muscle takes up that space than before.

I have little 5lbs arm weights, figured dusting them off would help. Hadn't thought about push ups.

Oops, didn't read this until after dinner.

The biscuit wasn't whole wheat but I only had one and plain. I really don't eat butter unless it's on grits. Lots of veggies and some extra broccoli. I added up my calories for today and with a fig newton for dessert I came out at 1300. I still need to do my weights workout before I get too tired.

Females typically have less muscle mass to feed, hence needing fewer calories.

I don't really count calories, I just put things into my body that I know are good and stop when I've eaten "stomach full" amount.

For someone that weighs in the lower 100'bs range 1500 is perfectly healthy....in fact between 110-130 lbs BMR is 1500-1800kcals/day so to drop weight you should be looking at maybe 1200-1500/day.

What will really make the difference is your macros....you need to fit it to your needs but you should be looking at 40/40/20 protien/carbs/fat

NO simple sugars........AND NO CARBS AFTER 5.....you will be suprised at the HUGE difference that can make.

I teach foods and nutrition (haha and I'm on a diet) and we teach that proteins should be 12-15%, carbs should be 50%, and fats 30% of your daily intake.

It's crazy what a diet requires. I'm on day two and I started the day out with a nice tall glass of cold water..I didn't wake up starving and I have time to make breakfast...

1 egg and 2 egg whites, turkey sausage, and some fresh strawberries. Yum.

By the way, if anyone lives in Lillington, Food Lion has their two pound strawberries on MVP here.

aaahahahahah Awesome pictar!! I thought I was looking pretty skinny there too, NAHT.

My face is classic though.

So tdub! Should I exercise twice today, since the man wants to go to te gym this evening, or just do it once. Is a morning exercise that integral to your metabolism and such or what? I know if I go once I won't want to go again and will have to do something different if I do..
