he cancelled his Maryland visit and just visited South Carolina. Doesn't look like any of our prospects on our board commited to any schools this week. Still waiting on Jones and Mackey though.




Rumor has it on the Arkansas free board that Ford commited to the Hogs.

^^ you are venturing into wishful thinking territory. 1. Amato isn't head coach, 2. He coaches linebackers, which he is quite skilled at doing. If he chooses NCSU, it won't have shit to do with hating amato.

^ I'm quite aware of all that you said so please spare me the education. Being a good recruiter doesn't necessarily mean you coach the position of the recruit you're after. With that being said, you're right, him choosing State over FSU won't have anything to do with him hating Amato. It'll be due to the fact that he recognizes TOB and staff have a better chance of turning him into a pro prospect than Bowden and staff.

^^ And if Ford did commit to Arkansas after saying he was solid with State, he should fit right in w/ Petrino.

wtf is Ford thinking? seriously why would a quality recruit want to go play for Petrino after he's been exposed as having a pattern of lying and not staying around very long. at least with TOB he knows that more than likely he'll be his coach for his entire time here and is honest. is it the lure of playing in the SEC? Arkansas does have a nice stadium, but their training facility is fairly old when compared with the Murphy Center.

^ Whatever he was thinking, let him think it somewhere else. As you said a person would have to be nuts to go and play for Petrino after all the crap he's pulled. If he's dumb enough to do that, then he probably wouldn't make for a smart football player anyway.

Mackey didn't commit but rated his visit to VT a 12 out of 10 (he rated ours an 8). Going to make a signing day decision it looks like but hey at least it will make signing day a lil more exciting this year.

From the looks of his video he's got pretty good speed and can change directions very quickly. Add in his size and he looks to be a good fit for cornerback.

^ and yeah, he was a QB for an option offense, so he really wouldn't have a shot playing for us as QB. However, Paul Johnson was recruiting him as a qb for Ga Tech and he turned them down.

Wilson is a heck of a player. It looks as if they'll use him at corner, which he's very good at. However, he was a shrine bowl rb as well, and I can say, he was damn good there. CJ could find any space and cut through it, and break several tackles before falling, if he fell. He carried his team (Lincolnton) this year, leading them to the state championship. I just wish he went to East Lincoln. But we got a good player and good kid in CJ Wilson.
