my girlfriend and I are devastated that Animal Collective drastically changed the lyrics of some of their new songs for the studio release

i really really really dont like the changes

and if anyone who likes them wants to see how drastic the changes were, find the NPR show they did a few months ago(good) and then get their show last month at the Hove (not as good)

both of them are matt pryor albums (from the get up kids and new amsterdams). the terrible twos is aimed at writing songs for little kids to enjoy. the last album was absolutely ADORABLE and the songs ive heard from this one are cute too. i have friends in kansas city ive been thinking about visiting for a long time and i just might fly out for the terrible twos cd release show at a children's book store haha.

I've only listened to like two demos, and I enjoyed them. He's been playing it live for a while now, and reviews have been very positive, but I've avoided listening to the bootlegs. I have high hopes.

They were originally supposed to be part of a double album, iirc.

One other cool thing is, if you line up the artwork from The Stage Names to the artwork for The Stand Ins, they're drawn together.

That's one of songs I had in mine. "Lust for Life" and "The Sporting Life" were the other two right off the top of my head.
