I dunno if "almost everyone" likes Stewart over Jones or not, but I definitely like Jones better...unless you're in a keeper or something.

Jones is the sole starter on a team without much else on offense, but a few recievers are coming back to Seattle and that may open things up a little for him. Oh, and he's already had his bye (yeah, those similar stats people compare between them forget that Jones only played 3 games). He has over 300 yards and two score in only 3 games, and averages almost 5 fantasy points more per game than Stewart in standard leagues.

I do like Stewart, I just think Jones is gonna continue having a better year.

Good points

It really is all subjective

I've got a few...

Which QB....JOTS vs New England, Hasselbeck vs NYG or ROFL vs JAX

and pick 2 out of Bobby Engram, Jerious Norwood and Willis McGahee

[Edited on October 3, 2008 at 10:52 AM. Reason : JOTS = J.T. O'Sullivan...I'm gonna make it stick...JTOS doesn't have the same ring to it]

That QB situation isn't very good......Hasselbeck would be my pick since he is getting some more WRs this game. NE and JAX and NYG are all good against the pass. I don't think I would start Engram either since he is still questionable.

[Edited on October 3, 2008 at 1:45 PM. Reason : ROFL is beat up, JOTS is inconsistent ]

[Edited on October 3, 2008 at 2:09 PM. Reason : V You gotta take Gore/Stewart.....Gore is a stud and Stewart is going to get better Jones will not]

^^^ Thanks for all your input, I'm still undecided on what to do. In my opinion my team is pretty strong regardless of which of the two I have but I see the trade as somewhat of a two for one for Gore. Stewart is a quality back who will put up big numbers if he takes over as starter and gets 20 touches a game, Jones has already shown he can carry the team but I'm not sure if he will maintain that role once the team starts throwing more. My current RB's (starting 2 with a flex) are AP, Grant, Slaton, Turner, Jones so in the event Stewart doesn't get a more expanded role I think I would still have 4 quality rb's, provided Grant comes around.

trade proposed to me:

GIVE:
jonathan stewart

GET:
cotchery

i am tempted because:
1) My WRs are Andre Johnson, Chad Johnson, Bobby Engram, Josh Reed, Bernard Berrian and Bryant Johnson
2) My RBs are Addai, Stewart, Grant, Chris Perry, Michael Bush
3) I have Favre, for whatever that's worth.. Favre to Cotchery.

I really like Stewart though (Panthers fan) but also really want Cotchery (State fan)...

Let Stew go? Hold on?

I like both of those players....Stewart is only going to get better and he is getting TDs.

J-CO is Favre's favorite target and they are getting good at connecting.

Grant may have been a one-year wonder and benefited from having Favre. I didn't want anything to do with him.

My current QB situation is a little weak. Do I play:

- Matt Schaub (Houston at Indy)
or
- JT O'Sullivan (San Fran at NE)

Schaub....Indy's secondary sucks AND expect Slaton to get at least 5 little dump-offs and take them for 50-75 yards. if they come in and play tight coverage, Matt will air it out to Andre. you're safe with Schaub this weekend

ok, i never got an answer on the last page. Campbell or McNabb?

Are the Redskins worth picking up this week? Brian Westbrook is doubtful

Who out of these 3 scrub defenses do I play. I missed out picking up Tenn

Indy vs Hou
Skins vs Phi
Min vs NO

ESPN seems to think Westbrook will play. None of those are really good plays though. I'd probably go Indy if westbrook plays.

Houston seems less likely to hang 35+ on you on any given day than NO or Phi.

I picked up New England's defense to play against the 49ers

^i agree Houston's offense isn't as likely to score on you as Philly or N.O., but at the same time, Indy's run defense is horrible...if you have Slaton, play him, he'll probably have 150 rushing yards and a TD or 2

If rodgers wasn't hurting, it'd be a no brainer.

I'd probably go meachum, though. My bet is that if rodgers plays, he comes out at some point.

i'm having to set my lineups remotely, through a friend since all my fantasy sports sites are blocked while im overseas, so i cant check matchups either

pick 2 of 4

Lynch, Marshawn BUF RB
Slaton, Steve HOU RB
Forte, Matt CHI RB
brown, ronnie MIA RB

i dont know if anyone's on a bye week, but i dont think so.. (well maybe forte)

Should I drop Chansi Stuckey or Sammy Morris to pick up Chris Henry?

Is it worth it?

My WR are Laveranues Coles, Lance Moore, Santonio Holmes, Antwaan Randel-El and Stuckey.

Is Cincy's passing offense going to be able to do anything? I haven't been really impressed with my WR production this year, but I don't know if Henry will be any better.

Thoughts?

I would not have second thoughts about dropping Morris or Stuckey to take a risk on a guy who might blow up. I can't say if Chris Henry is that guy. So, IOW, stuckey and morris are very droppable. That's all the help i can give.

----------------

For my flex spot --

Kevin Smith v Chi
Brandon Jackson v Atl
Pittman v TB
Sproles @ mia
Felix Jones v Cin

OR, would you drop one of these guys to speculate on Deion Branch? If so, who would you drop? Smith and Jackson seem like the obvious choices, but Rudi Johnson can easily get injured again, and I like the idea of having the handcuff of a back in a good offense (and Grant has been sucking).

there are just too many variables with Chris Henry right now to make him a viable fantasy option...at this point.

- Is he game ready?

- Will Carson Palmer play?

- If he does, will he be effective enough to throw a good long ball (Chris Henry's real threat)

- I'm sure there are many others, but you get my point.

my take is to wait and see. It could blow up in your face if you pull that trigger too soon.

A chance on Devin Hester becoming the go to guy against the generally weak Lions D, or Ted Ginn Jr. against an underperforming SD pass defense?

Robert Meachum (vs Min)

pick 1

Go with Rudi, he is starting at RB and is the "safest" of the 3.

Rank these four:

Slaton vs IND
Stewart vs KC
Rudi vs CHI
Ricky Williams vs SD

[Edited on October 5, 2008 at 1:09 AM. Reason : that's my rank]

Pick two for this week:

Brandon Jacobs
Ronnie Brown
Larry Johnson

My first instinct was to bench Johnson, but now I'm second guessing myself.

I'd agree with that, actually.

Now, pick one for me to start as my #2 back.

Duece (against Minnesota)
Julius Jones (@ NY Giants)
Mewelde Moore (@ Jacksonville)
Sammy Morris (@ San Fran)

Julius has been reliable for the past few weeks but NY's defense is rough. Duece has been invisible but now that he's healthy and has Brees scaring everyone from the air, he might get some red zone touches. Moore is Pittsburg's only running option, and Ben isn't exactly healthy. Cassel is mediocre so NE is going to be looking to run the ball, and Morris will likely be that guy, especially in the red zone.

GAH, DECISIONS DECISIONS!

Delholme, no question because he is playing at home and will throw more

Brees is going to throw a little more than Cutler, but either is going to put up points

Ive got a choice for a flex position that i cant decide on

Santonio Holmes vs JAC
Lendale White vs BAL
Chris Perry vs DAL
Leron McClain vs TEN
