On that 2nd interception people have said it was to Gates, but I saw it differently.

IMO it looked like it was to Jackson, if you see that interception it was significantly behind gates, but you see Jackson coming in from the right (Rivers' right) leaping to catch it. If the ball was 1-2 yards farther right then Jackson would have caught it or at least dropped it.

Back to that garbage on the last page, people said the same shit about Rivers YPA/YPC in college being that he threw a bunch of screens to TA, Cotchery, etc that they turned into huge yardage. The fact is, not only does he get it to the open player, he gets it to the most open player. Sproles on those screens wouldn't be shit without Rivers hitting him in stride and having the threat of Rivers hitting any of the other 3 recievers in the passing patterns.


I've actually been less impressed with Rivers' deep ball than the talking heads, because for the most part he's throwing jump balls to huge recievers in 1 on 1 coverage. He will throw some great touch passes between 20 and 30 yards and throws the deep out with great timing, but other than that he's throwing the percentage pass to his big guys.
