My main argument was that you didn't know if he had full control of the ball (which is why the initial ruling was so important).

He had just bobbled the ball and maybe gained control before he possibly broke the plane.

I just didn't see anyway it could have been overturned. If they had initially ruled it a touchdown they probably wouldn't have overturned it either. It was about as close as you could get.
